Highly recommend giving Odd Taxi a watch if you need a new anime. It's only 13 episodes so it's not a big commitment. It's like a Quentin Tarantino movie in a series. Don't let the art style fool you, it's very complex. It follows the life of a taxi driver (the walrus) named Odokawa who somehow finds himself involved in missing schoolgirl, the police, the yakuza, and many other interesting characters. All from the perspective of being just a simple driver.
