PSYCHO CREATED A GOD-MODE SECOND BRAIN ON FABLE 5 THAT FILLS ITS OWN KNOWLEDGE GAPS WHILE YOU SLEEP. KARPATHY'S FILE STRUCTURE MAKES IT POSSIBLE. Everyone wires Claude into Obsidian, posts the graph, and stops. this guy added a third system and it quietly changes the whole game: The full build is in the article below: vault structure, the Claude wiring, the exact prompts, the skills. > Obsidian as the knowledge base, but any notes app works as long as Claude Code can see the files > Karpathy's LLM Wiki doc as the skeleton, so the vault is organized the way a model actually reads, not the way humans decorate folders > a self-learning skill on a weekly loop: scans the entire brain, finds the gaps, then researches YouTube and Google by itself to fill them Read the third one again, actually your notes only ever contain what you happened to write down, and the gap-finder breaks that ceiling: the brain starts knowing things you never told it. Most second brains know what you told them. a real one notices what you didn't. that's the difference between note-taking and compounding. one sits there. the other gets smarter every week whether you showed up or not. P.S. send the article straight to your Claude, tell it to interview you, and the brain starts filling itself tonight.

Obsidian CEO actually released the skill that lets your AI agent run your entire vault for you. It's called obsidian-skills. Install it into Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode, and your agent can read, create, search, and organize notes directly, plus handle Markdown, Bases, and Canvas files without you touching a thing. This is the missing piece for an AI second brain. Your notes live in Obsidian, and now the agent actually knows how to work them. Want the full picture? We broke down how to build a complete AI second brain from scratch in the article below.

If you don't know what a RAG system is, you're already behind. Plenty of people are still typing questions into ChatGPT and pasting answers back out. That's the beginner level. You're renting a smart stranger who forgets you the second you close the tab and makes things up, because it has never seen your actual work. A RAG system is a completely different level of using AI. You build an AI plugged into your own world. Your files, company's docs, notes. It's not pulling from the internet, it only knows what you fed it. Ask it anything and it digs through your data, finds the answer, and shows you which document it came from. That's the gap. One person is asking a chatbot for generic answers. The other has built a private expert that knows their business cold and answers with receipts. And that gap is worth real money: > At work, the person who can wire a company's knowledge into an AI that actually answers correctly is rare and paid like it. > As a business, companies pay serious money for a system that reads their internal docs and answers staff and customers accurately. You build it once, you sell it. > For yourself, you get a second brain that actually remembers. Same skill behind all three, and it's still rare enough to be worth learning. Full breakdown in the article below.

MOST "SECOND BRAINS" ARE JUST FOLDERS YOU FEEL GUILTY ABOUT. HERE'S HOW CLAUDE TURNS ONE INTO A BRAIN THAT ANSWERS YOU. that clip is the build: obsidian plus claude, structured like a filing cabinet. three drawers, one job each: raw: everything you dump in, docs, sheets, pdfs, transcripts, untouched new knowledge: what claude distills, links and rewrites into clean notes and the connections between them, drawn automatically the part most note apps miss: you are not the librarian. you drop the raw in. claude reads it once, files it, links it to what you already had, and updates the index. then you never dig through the raw pile again. you ask the brain, and it answers from the clean layer with sources. that graph on screen isn't decoration. every line is a connection you didn't have to make by hand. no re-reading the same pdf, no notes you wrote once and never opened, no app that guilts you for not organizing. the uncomfortable part isn't that note apps are messy. it's that a second brain was never about saving more, it was about something rereading you after you stopped. follow RetroChainer for systems that keep thinking after you close the tab, and bookmark this before your notes turn into another graveyard.

Anthropic has a SINGLE growth marketer. And he just mapped the 4 levels of AI marketing, most are still on level 1. Level 1 is automating what you already do. Reports, copy, data pulls. Useful, but everyone has it. Level 2 is using AI as a thinking partner where it's smarter than you. Tax questions, legal implications, second opinions on hard calls. Level 3 is doing work that was below the ROI threshold before. Mining negative keywords across every ad group. Daily broken link checks across your full site. Competitor monitoring that runs forever. Nobody did this work before because the manual cost was never worth it. Level 4 is building custom tools only you would ever build. Your business has specific data, specific workflows, specific edge cases. No off-the-shelf product covers them. Most of the AI marketing plugins floating around GitHub work in theory and break in practice because they're built for the median user. The companies pulling ahead are building for themselves. Ramp is doing it with Glass. We're doing it with SingleBrain. Level 1 is going to get eaten by software companies running cheap Chinese models like Qwen and Kimi. The compounding happens at level 3 and 4, where the work is built for YOUR business and nobody else's.

I genuinely don't understand why everyone isn't using this yet. Andrej Karpathy, OpenAI co-founder, posted a simple idea that went massively viral: Stop using AI to write code. Use it to build a second brain. You point Claude Code at a folder. Drop in any source: an article, a transcript, a PDF. Claude reads it, links it, files it into a living wiki of everything you know. It compounds like interest. The more you feed it, the smarter it gets. Here's the whole thing: 1) Install Obsidian 2) Create a vault 3) Open it in Claude Code 4) Paste Karpathy's wiki idea and tell Claude to build it 5) Claude makes three folders: - raw (for sources) - wiki (for its pages) - CLAUDE. md (that runs it) 6) Drop any source into raw and say: "ingest this" 7) Ask questions across everything, forever Five minutes to set up and you never start from a blank chat again. Full step by step guide below.

karpathy just broke the internet with something called auto research it’s basically an ai research agent that runs experiments for you 24/7 you give it a goal like “make this model better” “find a higher converting landing page” “lower customer acquisition cost” then it runs a loop: 1) plan an experiment 2) edit the code or config 3) run a short test on a gpu 4) read the metrics 5) keep the winner 6) try again over and over while you sleep by the morning you wake up to the best version actual tested improvements think of it like a robot research intern that runs hundreds of experiments and only keeps the winners this is link to his repo for your to mess around with it in the latest episode of The Startup Ideas Podcast (SIP) 🧃 i break down: • what auto research actually is • how it works step by step • 10 business ideas you can build with it • how to install it and start using it this one is saucy because tools like this change how startups get built watch

Elon Musk: Europe actually has more bureaucracy than the US does because you don't just have the provincial and national level, you also have the EU on top of that And to be totally frank, EU headquarters in Brussels is essentially a giant cathedral to bureaucracy. So if one wishes to visit the Grand Cathedral of Bureaucracy, visit EU headquarters in Brussels I do think that Europe probably needs government efficiency more than the US does. And this needs to happen at the country level and at the EU level. And actually, I think the job is more difficult in Europe than it is in the US I think over-regulation has inhibited a tremendous amount of progress and innovation in Europe. Slow strangulation by over-regulation It's a slow strangulation because it's not like at any one moment you feel like this is it. But the noose around the neck just gets a little tighter every year, and eventually it's going to kill Europe So there must be, in my opinion, immediate action to reduce regulation at the EU level, at the country level, and at the local level

Obsidian + Claude Code turned a 4,300-note vault into a second brain that answers back. Most people use Obsidian as a graveyard. You save 40 highlights a week, link nothing, and reread maybe 2% of it. The knowledge is there the retrieval is dead. Claude Code fixes the retrieval, because your vault is just a folder of markdown files and Claude Code lives in folders. The whole setup takes 20 minutes: Open a terminal inside your Obsidian folder and run Claude Code no plugins, no API glue, no export step. It reads all 4,300 files natively. Then drop a CLAUDE.md at the vault root explaining your structure: where daily notes live, how you tag, what your MOCs are. Now every session starts with context instead of chaos. From there you just talk to your vault: > "find every note where I mentioned churn and write a summary with backlinks" > "read my last 30 daily notes and list the 5 ideas I keep circling but never ship" > "build a MOC for everything tagged startup-ideas and link the orphan notes into it" It writes new notes straight into the vault with proper [[wikilinks]], and they show up in your graph view 10 seconds later. The boring layer automates too one command cleans broken links, one merges duplicates, one turns 6 months of meeting notes into a single decisions log. Work that used to eat a Sunday now runs while you make coffee. Before: 4,300 notes, 900 orphans, search by keyword and prayer. After: an agent that read everything you ever wrote and drafts in your own voice, from your own sources, with receipts. People pay $30/month for AI note apps with 10% of this. You already own the other 90%. Your notes stopped being storage. They started being staff.

Most people use Claude Code like a chatbot, then wonder why it forgets everything by Tuesday. The ones quietly building $10K AI workflows give it a second brain instead, and it’s free. It’s called Obsidian. You download it, point it at one folder on your computer, and that folder becomes a vault. Every note inside it is now something Claude Code can read end to end. Open Claude in that folder and it’s connected, that simple. The trick isn’t the tool, it’s the map. 3 folders, that’s the whole system. Raw, you dump everything here. Notes, transcripts, screenshots, half thoughts, zero structure. Wiki, Claude reads the raw pile and writes clean Wikipedia style articles about it, structured, searchable, permanent. Output, when you want a deliverable, a PDF, a slide deck, a script, it pulls from the wiki and ships it. Most people skip the wiki layer and feed Claude a junk drawer of 400 files, then blame the model when the answers are garbage. The model isn’t the problem, your folder is. Give it a path it can follow and it finds anything in 1 second, give it chaos and it guesses. You don’t even have to design the structure yourself. Open the vault, tell Claude to build a file system that fits your work, and watch it organize your entire brain in one prompt. Free tool, 3 folders, a second brain that compounds while you sleep. The people falling behind are still copy pasting into a chat window.

THIS GUY CONNECTED HIS AI AGENTS TO HIS OBSIDIAN AND BUILT A BRAIN THAT LEARNS ON ITS OWN. HERE'S HOW TO BUILD IT Obsidian is just markdown files sitting in a folder. That turns out to be the perfect memory for an AI agent, because an agent can read and write those files directly. He wired his agents into the vault so they pull context from it, do the work, and write what they learned back. The notes aren't the point. The loop is, and it gets sharper every cycle How to build it: 1. Point an agent at your vault. The fastest way, no plugins, no API keys: open a terminal and run npx obsidian-mcp /path/to/your/vault. That exposes your Obsidian folder to Claude as a tool it can read, search, and write to. Add it to your Claude Code or Cowork config and restart 2. Confirm it can see the brain. Ask it: "list the notes in my vault and summarize what's in them." If it reads them back, the connection is live. Now it starts every task with everything the vault already holds instead of from zero 3. Give each agent one job and a write-back rule. Tell it: "research this, then save what you found as a new note in /brain with links to related notes." One agent researches, one summarizes, one plans. Each writes its output back into the vault 4. Close the loop. Add one line to every agent's instructions: "read /brain before starting, write your result back when done." Now each task leaves the vault richer, and the next run reads that before it works. It compounds instead of resetting 5. You only steer. Review what the brain produces, point it at the next thing. The agents handle the reading, writing, and connecting The edge isn't better notes. It's a brain that feeds itself, so the work gets sharper every cycle instead of starting over Bookmark this

Obsidian + Claude Code is how Andrej Karpathy turns 15 years of notes into a brain that works while he sleeps. The method behind it costs $0 and takes 5 minutes a day and it outlived every productivity app since 2011. Every idea, link, and half-thought gets appended to the top of a single note, with no sorting, no folders, no tags. Once a week he scrolls through, and anything that still matters gets copied back to the top. Weak ideas sink. Strong ideas resurface 5, 10, 20 times and by the 20th pass your brain has already wired them into everything else you know. Repetition as a filter. That's the whole system. Now the 2026 upgrade almost nobody is running: Drop that note into an Obsidian vault and open the folder with Claude Code not the chat app, the terminal agent that reads files. 3 commands change everything: read my last 30 days of notes and find the 3 ideas I keep circling without acting on link every note mentioning this project into a CLAUDE.md of what I actually believe about it draft this week's post from the idea that resurfaced most Claude Code doesn't search your vault it walks it, follows the wikilinks, and hands you the patterns you were too close to see. Karpathy method filters the signal, Obsidian stores it, Claude Code compounds it. One is a habit, one is a folder, one is $20 a month together they're the closest thing to a second brain that thinks back. Most people collect notes for 10 years and never read them once. His notes read him.

iit's wild that this still isn't the default way people use AI. Andrew Ng, a co-founder of Google Brain, gave a talk that crossed 2 million views: stop feeding your AI a folder of notes, build it a graph it can actually think with. his point is simple, stop making your AI read the whole vault to answer one thing. give it a graph, a router that points, an index that scores, edges that link, and it walks straight to the answer. it compounds, cheaper and faster the more you add. here's the whole thing: > point Claude at your notes and have it write a tiny router, your CLAUDE.md > build an index, one line per note, so it always knows where an answer lives > keep each note to one idea, and link the ones that depend on each other > make retrieval run as code, so it scores and opens the right files before the model thinks > tell it to prove the graph beats a flat folder on speed and cost, then keep the index fresh on every write set it up once and your AI stops guessing. it already knows your world before you type a word. full 12-step guide below. bookmark this.

🚨 THIS 100% FREE GITHUB REPO JUST MADE EVERY AI NOTE-TAKING APP POINTLESS. Drop any source in article, PDF, YouTube transcript, or Journal entry. Claude reads it, links it to everything in your vault, and files it into a connected knowledge graph on your own machine. Most tools save your notes. This one connects them. Every source gets linked to everything you already know. Karpathy described the idea - 15 skills. Four vault methods. Works with Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini. Most people have years of knowledge buried in folders they open twice a year. This turns all of it into a second brain that works while you sleep. MY ARTICLE COVERS THE EXACT METHOD I BUILT TO DO THE SAME THING. Guide below!

THE ANATOMY OF A SECOND BRAIN THAT WRITES ITSELF one Obsidian vault, three layers, and a loop that files every good answer back into a wiki you never touch the structure: > CLAUDE.md + AGENTS.md - the constitution. same rules whether Claude or Codex runs the loop > raw/ - inbox, articles, assets. frozen and read-only, you feed it and walk away > wiki/ - index.md, entities/, concepts/, synthesis.md. the agent grows this on its own > log.md - append-only, every move timestamped 47 sources in -> 210 pages out the agent typed 96% of it. you typed zero the cost trick: point Opus 5 only at synthesis.md, the one file that needs frontier reasoning. everything else runs fine on cheaper models under the hood it's loop engineering: you ask -> a good answer gets filed back -> the wiki grows start linking entities to each other and you're one step from a full graph your research compounds while you sleep. the full blueprint is below 👇

THIS GUY BUILT A BUSINESS SECOND BRAIN WITH CLAUDE CODE + OBSIDIAN IN 3 STEPS Most teams do not need another Notion workspace. They need a place where the company can remember how it works. The video shows a simple setup: 1. Create one empty folder called second brain. 2. Split it into 3 buckets: raw new knowledge wiki 3. Let Claude Code turn messy company material into connected notes. The useful part is the separation. Raw is where your existing stuff goes: SOPs, sales docs, process notes, client delivery checklists, old Loom summaries, onboarding docs. New knowledge is where fresh outside material lands: articles, clips, tactics, examples, market notes. Wiki is the cleaned version: concepts, roles, processes, SOPs, gaps, reusable decisions. That is where Claude Code becomes more useful than a normal chat window. Instead of asking it to remember random context forever, you give it a folder it can read, edit, and reorganize. Then Obsidian becomes the human interface. The Obsidian Web Clipper captures useful pages into the vault. Claude Code ingests them. The wiki gets updated. Then you can ask questions like: “Does my current workflow actually hold up?” That is the real point. Not “AI notes.” A business memory system that can compare what you do today against new information tomorrow. The caveat: this is not magic company intelligence. If your raw docs are vague, outdated, or full of tribal knowledge, Claude will organize weak inputs into cleaner weak outputs. You still need naming rules, review habits, and someone responsible for deleting junk. But the setup is refreshingly practical. Folder first. Clipper second. Claude Code as the maintainer. No giant knowledge base migration. No complex setup. Just a local vault that can slowly turn scattered business memory into something searchable, editable, and actually reusable.

You can build an AI second brain in 15 minutes. No coding experience needed. no $1000 course [Here is how you can do it in 5 mins:] Step 1: Download Claude Desktop. Step 2: Download Obsidian Desktop. Step 3: Create a new vault and start dropping .MD files into it. Step 4: Tell Claude Code to connect directly to your vault using Andrej Karpathy's prompt: That is it. Your entire knowledge base becomes searchable, connectable, and queryable by the most powerful AI model on earth. Every note you have ever written. Every idea you have ever captured. Every resource you have ever saved. Claude can now read all of it, find connections you missed, and surface insights from your own thinking that you forgot you had. Most people are using Claude as a search engine. The people building second brains with it are using it as an intelligence layer on top of everything they know. The gap between those two use cases is the gap between asking Google a question and having a research partner who has read everything you have ever written. Bookmark this. Build it tonight.

Ben Johnson on the fourth down incomplete pass between Caleb Williams and DJ Moore: "For that particular play, he's running the back line. He does have the ability to shut it down in an open window. You know, it's a unique look where there happens to be a second-level defender in the area that he shut it down. Do I wish he would have stayed on the move? Sure, but I also know at this level that that's open and we have two really good players right there and we can find a way to hook up."
