For those curious, Kong Hou is an Chinese harp-like instrument from the Tang Dynasty. There are 2 versions, one is the modern Kong Hou, which is basically a western harp but with 2 rows of strings. The traditional Tang dynasty version looks similar to the one in this video with a single row of strings. The strings are attached to the hollow structure at the top of the Kong Hou, which creates a very unique sound.
