First of all, the term is a portmanteau of black and exploitation, because "explotation movies" were low budget movies that used lurid subject matter like sex and violence to draw an audience. They were largely made by and for White people who didn't develop a criminal culture because of them. We still have exploitation movies today; like the Saw series. The most famous blackspoitation movies ever made were, arguably, Shaft, Superbly, both about cops who did the right thing, but were cool and had sex appeal.

Absolutely the black friends I had didn’t live that black culture life and for good reason they wanted to live an actual good life and to be a good respectful life and future.
