Credit to Elliot Daigneault for dropping this calling it like it-is video! 🔥😡 Last year they wouldn’t shut the hell up: “It’s your sacred Canadian duty to BOYCOTT America at all costs!” Buy Canadian only. Cancel every US vacation. ❌ Go full elbows-up and hate the US like it’s the enemy. “We can’t rely on our American partners anymore — the relationship is DEAD!” I’m absolutely LIVID! While they were ramming this anti-American garbage down every regular Canadian’s throat and demanding we sacrifice… Mark Carney and his elite family were living their best American dream behind our backs‼️ His wife lives and works full-time in the US. Half his kids live there too — and ALL of them studied in the US at places like Harvard and Yale. Carney himself is a Harvard grad — the FIRST Prime Minister in Canadian history who never even attended a Canadian university. His personal multimillion-dollar portfolio? 91% dumped into American companies. He owns a home in the US. And while he was vice chair, he backed moving Brookfield’s headquarters from Toronto to New York. The National Post called it exactly right: NO Canadian Prime Minister has EVER been more personally tied to the United States. And don’t even get me started on Justin Trudeau casually partying it up at Coachella in California with Katy Perry like the rules he preached never applied to him. This is SHAMELESS, DISGUSTING HYPOCRISY of the highest order. The “boycott America” sermon was NEVER meant for them. They know exactly where the real money, power, and opportunities are — and they’re all-in while telling the rest of us to stay poor and stay home. Average Canadians get the lectures and the sacrifices. The ruling class gets the US degrees, the US investments, the US homes, and the US parties. I’m sick of this two-tiered fraud‼️ How much longer are we supposed to tolerate these elites laughing in our faces? 🇨🇦 Drop your thoughts below — I want to hear the rage 😡

🚨WATCH THIS. SOUND ON🔉 2yrs, 7 drafts & 125,000 words later, The Bushido of Bitcoin is finally available for pre-order. Writing this book has been a journey, and the process literally transformed my understanding of the world. This is NOT another history of money or economic justification for Bitcoin. Been there, done that. This is a book about virtue, excellence, culture and behaviour, which asks the harder questions: What becomes of those who rise to the top, in the new socio-economic paradigm? Will they become: --> A new kind of parasite? --> Another bunch of degenerate? Or --> Men & women of virtue. It’s not enough to just say “Bitcoin Fixes This.” We must do something about it. ____________________ The age of fiat will not last. A new era will take its place. The question is, who will lay claim to it? IMO: those who understand, that a new age, demands a new way of being. A new paradigm requires a new code, (a Bushido), that’s more vital, powerful and ascendant. The Bushido of Bitcoin is that playbook. ____________________ This is my attempt to synthesise the best of what I’ve found in both the dissident grass-roots right and philosophy-centric bitcoin domain. Some of you may be familiar with each other, but many of you will not. I hope this opens some doors and helps form a powerful alliance against the goblins and trolls running the world today. ____________________ I'd like to thank a few people who helped and/or inspired me along the way. (This is a good follow list, so take note) John Carter - the best editor and intellectual sparring partner I could’ve asked for. Also one of the best writers you'll come across. The book is not only twice as long but 10x better since you got involved and pushed me. Thankyou. Ross Stevens - Thankyou for your support, for agreeing to write the foreword and most importantly, for being a modern day Cosimo de Medici. You are a true Renaissance man. Saifedean Ammous - your work and integrity continue to inspire. You are of the rare few Austrians on earth today with the courage and fortitude to blaze a new trail. Uberboyo - your holistic view of the world and profound takes on Neech, Jung & the vital European soul were inspiring along the way. Jash Dholani - you revealed new rabbit holes for me to venture down with your brilliant coverage and ability to extract wisdom from the old books. You are quoted throughout. Chad Crowley - your eloquent micro-essays on X inspired a number of sections in the book, particular in relation to Nietzsche’s work. You have an understanding of him that few others can match. Jerr - your work on manhood, frame and masculine psychology is the very best in the world & you are quoted throughout. John Vallis & Robert ₿reedlove - our conversations over the years helped me synthesise & sharpen many of the ideas contained within. Parker Lewis & allen farrington - your work on Bitcoin is the only work I reference and point people to if they want the economic argument for Bitcoin. There are of course many others. Finally - a shout out to H E L I Λ И D 🦅 . Working with you on this trailer was a blast. You are a true magician. Reach out to this man if you want the best in video work. And shoutout to DOS BRAINS for the music. Incredibly powerful, and I hope this trailer has done you justice. ____________________ You can pre-order the book NOW on Geyser ⚡️ - along with some limited edition variants that once sold out, are sold out forever.

QUITE LAUGHABLE...I watched this video clip which went viral last week with equal interest and displeasure. As much as I sometimes find this BOY funny, I certainly DISLIKE his unjustified criticism of my beloved party ZANU PF, all in the name of HOUMOUR and SATTIRE. The REVOLUTIONARY PARTY ushered us the independence which we celebrate and enjoy to this very day and therefore equally deserves some measure of RESPECT. The sad news for him is I'M NOT STOPPING sorry to say ! There are so many rich people out there but barely share their wealth with anyone. Imagine if we had just 10 GENEROUS business tycoons like me in Zimbabwe, we would live in a better place. Exceptional and committed PHILANTHROPISTS like myself should never be the subject of such PETTY humor for comic mileage !!! It takes a lot of love and faith to be able to bless a whole lot of people that yo dont know , you've never even met and are not related to. The wiser thing to do is shower more praises and keep encouraging them to soldier on to try enable more people to benefit. On that note, after watching this video I have decided to spare yet another 850 thousand dollars from my SMALL SAVINGS to buy 100 Toyota AKWAYA'S next week. These vehicles will be randomly distributed EQUALLY across the country’s 10 Provinces , starting with MASHONALAND EAST , kumusha kwangu to the DESERVING youths who were outstanding and worked tirelessly during the Election period. I will first of all seek the REQUISITE permission from the party leadership , then liaise with the Minister's of each Province and Provincial Chairmans to ensure that APPROPRIATE and deserving beneficiaries receive their RECOGNITION. If I had enough money I would buy every Zanu PF member and Johanne Masowe follower a car but I'm only a big hearted business man who has so much love but is still struggling to make ends meet. I appreciate the mostly good feedback and gratefulness , but to those few who still hate BE PATIENT I HAVE MORE IN STORE FOR YOU hamuna chamati maona garai mapiritsi enyu e BP ari pedyo ndoikwidza manje manje...🤣🤣🤣🐐🐐🐐💰💰💰🤑🤑🤑 I am fully aware of how similar minded comedians have MASKED their sarcasm and ridicule through humour, following the SHALLOW footsteps of FAILED opposition political outfits. I have CONSISTENTLY been the subject political caricature by some cartoonists out of DESPERATION for online relevance. No amount of opposition supported PROPAGANDA insinuating that “I am the VP at Large” or that “I hold political ambition” will change my loyalty for ZANU PF. I will FOREVER remain a card carrying member of the Revolutionary Party and will always WHOLE HEARTEDLY vote for ZANU PF on every election as this is my CONSTITUTIONAL right to do so ! In the meantime i will never slowdown on my OPULENTLIFESTYLE so please allow me to be SERENADED by the endless luxury of flying FIRST CLASS on a brief vacation to in London ! Nothing beats the feeling of personal FREEDOM and the pleasure of enjoying LIFE to the fullest. After all, we ONLY LIVE ONCE !!!

About a month ago, a clip of mine went viral⁽¹⁾ talking about the Current State of Twitch (3rd thumbnail in this tweet). It resonated w/ people outside my community, so lemme elaborate (as a 10yr+ Twitch Veteran). Current State of Twitch isn't great and haven't been for a while. I've been passionate about Twitch since inception (I joined in April 2011 in the JTV days, a few months before Twitch debuted in July 2011), and been trying to instill positive change but I'm only a cog in the machine compared to where influence can impact — likely via Amazon-appointed Executives to help "oversee things" at decade-old-acquisition-that-has-still-generated-zero-profit Twitch⁽²⁾. ------------------------------------------------ Twitch's Muddled Identity ------------------------------------------------ Describing Twitch 10 years ago was easy: "Youtube, except always live, for gamers". Now, it's more muddled & fluid, at best: "Always live broadcasters who aim to connect with their viewers and foster communities(?)" — that, in itself, isn't problematic; but how it's accomplished, what methods are most effective, and how certain directories accumulate higher viewership is, I think (I may elaborate further on that in a future tweet). The most common reactive bark I've heard following TwitchCon 2025 is "Ban Politics" or "Make it Gaming-Only Again!" — People forget, but Pokemon GO (June 2016) going worldwide-viral was the crack-in-the-dam that lead to IRL as a directory because of the impracticality of continuing Twitch's "games-only" era as the site was increasing in popularity, reach, and cultural significance. IRL was a band-aid solution for the core function of Directories⁽³⁾ (which was to let would-be-browsers make better-informed decisions on what to watch based on their interest). It's too broad and encompassing, which led to an unintended dopamine-producing⁽⁴⁾ psuedo-ChatRoulette where you "never know what you're gonna see" browsing there. Without a better tool to migrate users or aggregate topical content, this problem exacerbated continuously. Just Chatting was supposed to be the solution, as it came with 11-12 other directories⁽⁵⁾ to attemptedly split the IRL monolith, but failed to inspire Social Behavioral Change tremendously. Just Chatting is more popular than ever, discoverability — like in the broad, functional sense — is busted cuz every genre of content stuffed within it and fails to disincentivize streamers from opting-out of the most popular directory. So, how do you stand-out in the overcrowded field where a fuckton of the viewership goes for a Roulette Pull on something entertaining to watch? ... ------------------------------------------------ The Era of Clout-Farming Content (and the fact it works, ugh) ------------------------------------------------ Once IRL directory came in Sept 2016, so did the meta of skirting the ToS (Terms of Service) to maximize views or push the limits of what was tolerated on Twitch. Fundamentally, the social dynamic of receiving a suspension (everyone generally refers to them colloquially as "bans") earns notoriety and "free vacation/marketing", that when coinciding with a comeback event, open the possibility of a net-positive from the boost in viewership or metrics. This isn't as relevant now because the ToS Enforcement has gotten significant buffs to be more transparent and structural in the last half-decade. I can't speak on the nuance of this now, but "Full-Time IRL Streamers" and "Sweaty IRL Affiliates" were unbearable at TwitchCons until TC Policy cracked down on requiring consent by those they bumrush'd into (while live of course), so I assume they're probably equally as intrusive everywhere else ... then Kick came along in 2022 and dominated the headlines for mischief within this realm, for the most part; but that's a different topic altogether. The burden of an authentic collab can be too much friction, slow moving — and honestly, too much work for a streamer to do — compared to the efficacy of blowing up Streamer x Streamer Conflict via self-commentary-reacts for sensationalism and maximizing parasocial viewers' worst tendencies. Effectively, ragebaiting. I'm not advocating to abolish this as a policy. I'm pointing out how this is a very effective way to garner views within the social constructs — and it shouldn't be, nor always was. Something changed at some point. I don't wanna bore you with a timeline of the last decade of controversy on Twitch, so I'll fast-forward to when I definitively see evidence that Clout-Culture is failing upward: In March 2025, the unbanning of Adin Ross⁽⁶⁾ (on Twitch) I saw as a huge moral failure that reeks of desperation for his views/clout/relevance at the direct expense of the integrity of Twitch Culture. Not sure if that was a Clancy-specific decision or what, but it encompasses "neo-Twitch" or a disconnect if there ever was one. ------------------------------------------------ Twitch Culture is diluting at the expense of recouping revenue ------------------------------------------------ A decade ago, Twitch Plays Pokemon broke news across insular-livestreaming gossip and was celebrated as a pinnacle of internet fandom⁽⁷⁾ (Feb 2014). This event was a testament to the value of Twitch because it reinforced the undeniable power of CULTURE present in Twitch Chats. I don't think the event could've worked on a YouTube Livestream (remember YouTube Gaming, introduced in 2015?). There's a certain aura present in Twitch Chat that makes it feel captivating to interact and engage with compared to a YouTube Live Chat Box. One feels like a close relative of bot-spam'd yt comments and the other feels ... real. I think that value is the culture — what could keep Twitch afloat for a long time, even if YouTube were to hypothetically obsolete Twitch in every way for delivering live broadcasted video content. I've noticed that as the meta has shifted towards revenue-maxxx'ing with the proliferation of Spectacle Events, typically marathons, that are engineered to paywall as many things as possible, at the expense of the content. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but the culture has shifted. I also do think most of the marathon content isn't good; they're carried by being experiences with strong FOMO-factors to compel your participation by viewing. I do suspect there's a saturation point where the combination of the waning niches of livestreaming, 4th-wall-breaking, and manufactured spectacles can keep an audience seduced. Like, the content (in aspects) has less substance and I wonder what that means for the welfare of Twitch Culture and its content in another 5 years. Perhaps Twitch could foresee this and become proactive on the manner?... ------------------------------------------------ Twitch's Conduct & Repetitive Incompetence ------------------------------------------------ Twitch has prioritized generating revenue over addressing the needs of the already-active users for years. Emmett Shear (previous CEO; 2011-2023) probably was a huge reason for sluggish changes overall to the platform as from what I hear but I can't say for certain. Regardless, we got Dan Clancy as CEO and, while there has been lots of positive changes under his reign, it really does feel like "too little, too late" with the pressure looming from Amazon's 2015 acquisition; increased competition and marketshare decline; and declining revenues, active users & monthly streamers"⁽⁸⁾. Here's a brief timeline of features implemented that I feel helped build the culture. Before COVID, I believe the biggest obstacle was helping migrate streamers from being part-time to capable full-time content creators. So, at the time, revenue-generating products were revolutionary to help there, including me at that time: ✅ 2016 — Bits/Cheers & Prime Subs (!!!) ✅ 2017 — Gift Subs (to a specific user) ✅ 2018 — Gift Subs (to randos in Community); Super Subs & Ultra Subs ✅ 2018 — Twitch Mobile App v2 (original mobile app was a constantly broken mess) ✅ 2018 — Twitch Prime no longer adblocks (I will agree how they did it was stupid, but ultimately, it was a necessary; I can defend this in the replies if needed) Comparatively, here's the hostile changes that came at the expense of the Twitch Populous supporting said-change: ❌ 2017 — Communities⁽⁹⁾ (DOA cuz it wasn't streamlined enough and vulnerable to Popularity Bias; I can elaborate in replies if needed) ❌ 2018 — Tags for Channels (DOA cuz anyone can use any tag, diluting the effort of broad categorization or filtering in any capacity) ❌ 2022 — Twitch kills Hosting⁽¹⁰⁾ (also new "craptacular" Offline Page w/ Suggested Channels idea instead) ❌ 2024 — Twitch Mobile App v3⁽¹¹⁾ (Tiktok clone dogshit) ❌ 2024 — Stories (who asked for this?) ❌ 2025 — 100hr Video Storage Limit (going back against Collections & cementing Twitch isn't an evergreen platform; also SHORT NOTICE) ❌2025 — Live Rewind ... paywall'd to Twitch Turbo & Channel Subscribers only (this is free sitewide on yt's livestreams)⁽¹²⁾ ❌ 2025 — Ability to gift 1000 subs at once (already shelved from backlash) Post-COVID, I see a pattern of prioritizing revenue-generating products at the expense of what creators need or ask for. I understand Twitch needs to appease Amazon eventually with profit, but with a half-decade passed, all the buffs I can recall are 2K Resolution Streaming*, Portrait & Dual-Canvas Streaming*, and Stream Together / Shared Chat. *Both of these sortta don't count cuz they're invite-only betas that aren't site-wide and don't apply to non-Partners 🤷‍♂️ While more features arrive that ask for more of your money to partake in the Twitch Experience, I feel like the users (both Streamers & Viewers) continue to be neglected. 10 years ago, I thought YouTube Gaming was DOA; now I anticipate when more people bail on Twitch because the functionality will decay without a compelling reason to stay if the culture dminishes. I'll conclude with the 4th thumbnail included in this tweet — a supercut of a portion from the TwitchCon 2025 Keynote from Dan Clancy, with the youtube dislikes superimposed-over for your enjoyment. Let me know what you think of what I shared today! 🎉🥳 I'm considering also breaking down the specific causes (not symptoms) of why Twitch is where it is, and my 999 IQ Pragmatic Solutions that are tenfold better than what I've seen suggested after this morale fallout following TwitchCon 2025 👀

RUSSELL T. DAVIES IS HOIST BY HIS OWN PERTARDIS IN CASUAL COMMENT ON KIDS “As if people care remotely for the lives of children, in any shape or form…” Davies believes false concern for child safety is being used to beat LGBTQ+ around the ideological grooming and transing of children. Leading to “Hate”, Davies predicts, “that will lead to a hanging” — as he depicts in Tip Toe. Davies’ conceit with Tip Toe is to persuade the audience to sympathise with Leo, who is drawn into conflict with his straight neighbour and family, including the teenage son. His immaturity attracts him to 16-year-old George, and to lust after men decades younger than himself throughout the series. (Davies, incidentally, is 63 and dating a 27-year-old who’s a dead ringer for 15-year-old schoolboy Nathan in Queer as Folk…) In this excerpt from a video posted to YouTube on 4 June, Davies is bemused that anyone could be remotely concerned for children’s lives. To him, anyone who suggests puberty blockers are dangerous, that kids are too young to consent to medical procedures, or are being ideologically groomed by LGBTQ+ activists at school and on TV must, therefore, be politically motivated. Not unlike the contemptuous response of politicians towards those who speak up for rape gang victims, or the attempted beheading of a man in Belfast, reported as a “minor incident” by the BBC. Their response is always to blame Nigel Farage, or to attack Elon Musk and anyone who wants to talk about it. Similarly, Davies’ response to those who call out the ideological grooming and transing of children is to… attack Elon Musk and call for X to be shut down. Davies runs an account on Instagram which he is able to control, word for word, yet rages against the one platform he can’t: “X is a hate platform owned by a megalomaniac who is pushing ill on many of us!” he fumed recently. Yet it was X that exposed the UK rape gangs scandal globally and the horrific murder of Harry Nowak, and pushed for the bodycam footage to be released — without which Harry would likely have been forever remembered as a racist rather than a victim of the worst example of DEI; the new religion of the left which Davies, the BBC and the left bow down to. Davies’ visceral hatred of X was no doubt amplified when the US ‘WPATH – The World Professional Association for Transgender Health – Files’ and UK’s own Cass Report into NHS England gender identity services for children and young people were published in March and April 2024 respectively — a month before the global premiere of Ncuti Gatwa’s first globally streamed season of Doctor Who on Disney+. It was revealed in November 2025 that LGBTQ+ activists within the BBC and other international news organisations like CNN censored coverage of the WPATH Files entirely, despite its information being used by institutions globally, including the NHS. So for millions, X was the only platform they could turn to for truth when the story broke; namely, that the WPATH’s internal messaging boards leaked by a whistleblower exposed its members doubting their own guidance that was demonstrably ruining many lives, not least children fast-tracked at a furious pace for puberty blockers and surgery. Davies is himself an outspoken advocate for dispensing puberty blockers for children. Having been a champion for LGB rights for many years, he became one of the trans movement’s most outspoken activists some 15 years ago when he aligned to the LGBTQ+ acronym. “To cut out the T is to kill!” he said in 2021. The backlash against the damning disclosures — proving conclusively that gender-confused children were being medically, emotionally and physically harmed by the zeal of the trans lobby to place them on a pathway of irreversible medical procedures — came at a critical juncture for Davies; a point when the LGBTQ+ movement appeared to be nearing an irreversible level of dominance throughout western society. They helped to derail the LGBTQ+ globalist utopia Davies was actively participating in working toward and his rainbow makeover of Doctor Who was a monumental flop globally, spectacularly failing to entice the new child audience Davies so craved through his “open door” of diversity replete with trans teens, drag queens — even the Doctor himself cruising for gay sex. During promotion for the 60th anniversary specials and Gatwa’s first season Davies is on record saying: “This is my world… Why wouldn’t I want to write about it?” “What you call diversity I call an open door.” “The messaging’s for the kids… We’ve got to get them while they’re young!” Only someone lacking the ability to marvel at a child’s innocence — who casually states they can’t comprehend how anyone could “care remotely for the lives of children in any way, shape or form” — would ask for sympathy for a character like Leo, who lived life on the edge, fucked around with abandon, and whose immature lust for youth clearly, like Stuart in Queer as Folk, had no fixed demarcation point. “16 is the legal age of consent," Davies makes a point of slipping into his Tip Toe script. Off camera: Yes, but if he looks 16 and is really 15, 14…” My Tip Toe review below ⬇️

This was the same stream. I've typed whole novels explaining this in good faith. They aren't good faith they are looking for openings on Nick's ankle to bite. Its not worth arguing with them. We are at war with ZOG right now. They claim to be on the same team but spend every day shooting us in the back. Don't argue with them, just let them fuck up their stupid plans from behind a block. The only time these dudes get engagement is when they fuck with us and intentionally misunderstand and misconstrue a take. I want a White Christian America, clearly the groypers do. We are the tip of the spear in this war and these rats are more concerned with their own position in the hypothetical 4th Reich than they are actually winning, it is disgusting and selfish. It's even worse because all of his ideas are fucking stupid. I'm just so uninterested in this bullshit fake conversation. I know there are a lot of wns who have been in this forever and are in their 40s or older. You need to trust the plan and understand that while you may think the groypers are gay or talk like black people we are the generation who is leading this fight to levels we have never reached before. Regardless, we are currently grappling with ZOG, AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS, so maybe try to help. He has a video from a day ago talking with another of these losers about how the groyper strategy of infiltration wouldn't work even though we are literally in the middle of ZOG melting down over it working. I've been in this since I was fucking 16 years old I have seen an endless supply of these bitter idiots and I've really held out as long as I can trying to be good faith and handhold them through it, but its just transparently bad faith. If you are attacking groypers right now, you're on team Israel. Sorry, that's just real life. Your plan to start a white commune is stupid and a waste of time. I think the whole country should be a white commune. There are already plenty of racist little towns in rural America. But when the federal government comes to rape them with migrants, they have no reply. Your plan to start a "based" brick and morter prep school is stupid and a massive liability to anyone who attends. Even with one second of thinking a guerilla, online prep school is a better and far cheaper idea. But honestly, wignat U is completely unnecessary because we have online shows and resources already available, and more is being made every day. What the fuck. I didn't say anything about this or your porn videos and just tried to support you when you were being attacked. Because I value winning over making sure everyone knows I'm the most basedest person on Twitter and I should be in charge. I'm typing this whole novel now because I hope there are some older gen wn guys who are actually good faith. It's just a genuine appeal to groypers to just block these dudes and stop giving them 90% of their engagement, and to the anti-groyper wns who actually want to win. Maybe you don't understand why the young people act this way, but we are the most zealous and numerous soldiers and we are fucking winning. We are either a team or we aren't. You're on our side or Israel's side. Do not believe there is an alternative, believe you can guide and assist this movement with your wisdom and turbo based takes. If your name is WODANWIGNAT and you hate Jesus and love whites, it means nothing if you join the chorus of Jewish voices against the only white youth movement you've got.

CHARLIE KIRK, POLITICAL ASS*SSINATIONS, AND THE B'NAI B'RITH (Warning: For Elite Pattern Recognizers Only) Candace Owens ▶️ This is a long post, and won't get very good reach unless you heavily interact with it. Please give it a like, a bookmark, a comment and a retweet. Or else it will just die. 5 minutes to read, 5 minutes to watch the video. But in 10 minutes you'll get an advanced class on B'nai B'rith and ass*ssinations that took me months of research to put together. If you watched Candace Owens yesterday, you learned a little about the B'nai B'rith, a jewish masonic secret society/fraternal order, & its related institution, the ADL. I clocked the ADL 4 days after Charlie Kirk was ass*ssinated. By October 4th, I was openly suspecting them of allegedly playing some kind of role in the hit. But to understand why I suspected to find their involvement, we must review some history. Then we can apply it to Charlie Kirk's ass*ssination. The B'nai B'rith/ADL were materially involved in the JFK, RFK, & MLK ass*ssinations: ▪️JFK▪️ B'nai B'rith member Julius Schepps was President of the Dallas Citizens Council, the organization that invited JFK to Dallas the fateful day of the ass*ssination. It's believed Abraham Zapruder, the jew who captured the infamous footage, was also a member of the B'nai B'rith. Zapruder's office was in the Dal-Tex building (which was next to the Texas School Book Depository) where dozens of witnesses attested that multiple gunshots came from. The Dal-Tex building was owned by the jews David Weisblat and Morris J. Russ until November 1, 1963, when it was transferred to Russ's widow Sylvia Golden Russ just 3 weeks before the ass*ssination. David Weisblat worked for the Anti-Defamation League of the B’nai B’rith. The ADL. Perhaps to get ahead of things, the B'nai B'rith awarded JFK a presidential Gold Medal on January 31, 1963, while he was mired in a battle with israeli Prime Minister David Ben Gurion over israel's illicit nuclear program. What better way to deflect blame! "He was our greatest ally!" Sound familiar? ▪️RFK▪️ RFK's Press Secretary, Frank Mankiewicz, was the Civil Rights Director for the western branch of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith. The ADL. It was Mankiewicz who diverted RFK from exiting out the ballroom of the Ambassador Hotel as planned and into the kitchen where Sirhan Sirhan & Thane Eugene Cesar were waiting to shoot him. At the time, the Ambassador Hotel was owned by the jew Junius Myer Schine, who once upon a time allowed the jewish gangster Mickey Cohen to operate an illegal casino inside the hotel. Mickey Cohen had a famous stripper girlfriend named Candy Barr whom he notoriously shared with JACK RUBY and jewish terrorist/israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin (Begin was leader of the Irgun & mastermind of the King David Hotel bombing in 1946. He also founded the Likud, the party that Netanyahu is a member of, which is currently running israel). RFK's DOJ had previously sent Mickey Cohen to prison for 15 years, after RFK personally grilled Cohen in televised senate hearings. BONUS: Junius Schine's son David was mentored by the homosexual jewish fixer Roy Cohn, and they both made the cover of Time Magazine for their central role in the famous Army-McCarthy senate hearings. David would go on to marry Miss Universe 1955, Hillevi Rombin of Sweden (I'll note that the Miss Universe Pageant was owned by jews at the time). Later, Roy Cohn would mentor another young man in the New York real estate scene named Donald J. Trump. Trump would later buy the Ambassador Hotel AND the Miss Universe Pageant! (Try not to notice the intersection between pageants, modeling, and the so-called Epstein network. But, I digress. Lol). ▪️MLK▪️ The ADL had of course been a long-time partner and ally with MLK in the Civil Rights movement. However, according to Henry Schwarzschild—who worked in the ADL’s publications department from 1962 to 1964—the ADL monitored (spied on) King because it considered him a "loose cannon", and the ADL periodically passed information on King to the FBI. Schwarzschild alleged this was “common and casually accepted knowledge” within the ADL. Later, MLK & his Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) was targeted by the FBI's infamous COINTELPRO. During that entire era, the ADL was known to collaborate closely with the FBI, just as they do now. For years, the ADL has trained every FBI agent. But there's an even deeper & more specific connection between the ADL and the MLK assassination. James Earl Ray's handler Raul once gave Ray an "emergency phone number" of sorts. Raul was a known business associate of Jack Ruby—why does he keep popping up? Raul was also involved in an illegal arms trafficking operation smuggling weapons to israel. This phone number Raul gave a Ray was to Samuel Laventhal, owner of Marine Supply and Salvage Co. of New Orleans. Laventhal was a member of the B'nai B'rith & Zionist Organization of America. In the initial appeal of his conviction, Ray reported that Laventhal was "distressed" about MLK's forthcoming public support for Palestine. Later, in 1978, Ray testified before the House Select Committee on Assassinations that someone in MLK's organization had made contact with the Palestinians about a potential alliance, and that King "intended to support the Arab cause." MLK had already famously 'left the pro-israel cause' when he canceled his much-publicized trip to israel scheduled for November 1967. MLK had soured on israel after its aggression in the 6-Day War placed him in a difficult political position with the 3rd world, with whom he was building a coalition. It was sometime after King's israel trip cancelation that Ray learned from Laventhal of MLK's allegiance switch (Remember, the ADL of the B'nai B'rith was spying on MLK & his organization). But before an alliance with Palestine could be worked out & publicly announced, King was murdered on April 4, 1968, and Ray was framed as the lone gunman patsy. We should note that the cover alias James Earl Ray somehow obtained and assumed while he was on the run was Eric S. Galt, a man who had national security clearance and was the manager of a Union Carbide plant manufacturing proximity bomb fuses being illegally smuggled to israel. Very weird! BACK TO CHARLIE KIRK Knowing this information, and having already noted many troubling similarities between Charlie's ass*ssination and the 3 ass*ssinations mentioned above, I was on the lookout for signs of ADL involvement. The B'nai B'rith is an underground network (literally) that could theoretically facilitate surreptitious planning, collaboration and coordination. Allegedly. I've written extensively about the battle Charlie was waging against the ADL since he joined us in September 2023 calling to #BanTheADL. Search my timeline for "Charlie AND ADL" For its part, the ADL had included TPUSA in its infamous "Glossary On Extremism & Hate." Charlie called to ban the ADL multiple times in September 2023. He called it an anti-White hate group. In November 2023, he declared the ADL was "part and parcel with Black Lives Matter" and "went all in on woke." He included them as one of the Left-wing jewish groups that was pushing the radical open borders and quasi-marxist policies ruining America. At the same time that Charlie was attacking the ADL in the fall of 2023, the ADL was on record proclaiming that America had a GenZ/TikTok problem regarding support for israel, and it launched a set of major initiatives to help reclaim America's youth. Many of these initiatives centered on college campuses and social media—two arenas dominated by Charlie Kirk. After Charlie's ass*ssination, the ADL published a hit piece on people alleging that israel was behind Charlie's murder. Their "Glossary On Extremism & Hate" began to circulate online and they were pressured to shut it down, which they did on September 30th, 2025. In early October, Kash Patel piled on, announcing that the FBI would be severing its longstanding ties with the ADL. (I've seen little evidence for this actually happening, btw). He also announced an end to the FBI's partnership with the SPLC, another radical jewish organization that had been attacking Charlie and TPUSA. It was at that point that a most curious thing happened: on October 3rd, Marissa Streit, former member of IDF Unit 8200 & CEO of PragerU, attacked the ADL & SPLC—which I clocked at time as being kosher theater. We should also note that according to Ben Shapiro, the Daily Wire shared space, talent and equipment with PragerU when both organizations were in their infancy. This will soon become more important in our story. Here's what I think was (allegedly) happening: the Conspirators were using the ADL and its adversarial relationship to TPUSA & Charlie Kirk to help cement the narrative that Charlie was murdered because of radical Leftist hate. That's why the ADL took down its "Glossary On Extremism & Hate." That's why Kash Patel publicly distanced the FBI from the ADL. And that's why fellow jewish intelligence operative Marissa Streit denounced it the ADL. But that's just one interpretation of the facts and I'm not accusing anyone specifically of a crime. Do your own research and make up your own mind. Right after that, on October 4th, 2025, Candace Owens found out that Kash Patel had flown in the agents from the FBI's Connecticut Office to "investigate" at UVU. That's the FBI office that shares building space with the ADL. At that point, I'd seen enough, and I started publicly airing my initially private hypothesis that the ADL was likely materially involved with Charlie's ass*ssination. But my tenuous alleged hypothesis was strengthened yesterday when we found out that Ben Shapiro was having a breakfast/lunch meeting with the Gary Javitch—Former Executive Director of B'nai B'rith International & former president of the Henry Monsky Lodge of the B'nai B'rith & member of the ADL—when Ben found out about the hit on Charlie almost right away. Within about 5 minutes or less, Ben's IDF security team was on the phone with someone in Charlie's SUV while it sped Charlie to the hospital. Mind-boggingly weird & dumbfounding. I'm not making any accusations of guilt, I want to be very clear about that. But this is a troubling set of facts and patterns that I believe looks like more than a coincidence. Why the heck would the security team of a long-time enemy to Charlie be on phone with Charlie's security team as it raced Charlie to the hospital? And while Shapiro just happened to be in a meeting with a high-level member of the ADL & the B'nai B'rith?! What. Are. The. Odds? And let's not forget that after months without any interaction, and knowing that Charlie saw Ben Shapiro as an adversary, Andrew Kolvet booked Shapiro as Charlie's guest the day before Charlie was assassinated. The same day Charlie proclaimed that he was leaving the pro-israel cause. The same day that Charlie likely had a Zoom struggle session with Rabbi Wolicki and Josh Hammer (who is a close friend of Ben Shapiro). The same day that Charlie texted multiple people the cryptic 'they're going to kill me.' And then within a week, Ben was hosting the Charlie Kirk Show and proclaiming he'd pick up the bloody mic? I'm sorry, but given all this context I've painstakingly recounted, am I the only one who thinks we deserve an explanation? WTF, Shapiro? ▪️Like, retweet, reply, bookmark▪️

"You just hate Hichilema": The dramatic fall of Zambia's president By Sishuwa Sishuwa Hakainde Hichilema stood in the queue to becoming President of Zambia for 15 years before voters finally removed him from it in August 2021. This demonstrates how badly the man wanted this job. But it has taken him only five years in office to display his unfitness for the role. When it comes to the bigger national issues, such as safeguarding our cherished democracy, getting the best out of Zambia’s mineral wealth, respecting the constitution and the rule of law, fighting corruption beyond rhetoric, genuine promotion of national unity and equitable distribution of appointments to public service positions, sorting out the cost-of-living crisis and the deplorable conditions of life for most Zambians, Hichilema has lamentably failed. In fact, I would go as far as saying that the President has become a clear and present danger to Zambia’s economy, to our democracy, our constitutional order, our nationhood and its 'One Zambia Nation' foundation, and to the lives of ordinary Zambians. Voting Hichilema out of office will be the highest expression of patriotism. As I have previously stated, I am convinced that Hichilema will lose the election on 13 August. The only thing that can save him from defeat is pre-ballot death (of any candidate) or industrial scale vote-rigging. I really hope that we Zambians will never again elect a lying, tribal, corrupt, unpatriotic, vindictive, hypocritical, lawless, and undemocratic scumbag. In addition to his policy failures on major issues of public concern, one reason why Hichilema is losing the election (unless he rigs it on an industrial scale) is because of having extremist supporters, mostly Zambezi supremacists, who dismiss legitimate criticism of his leadership actions as hate speech and consequently enable his continued failure to be receptive to criticism, to reflect on the feedback provided by the governed, and to change for the better. When citizens (be it the Catholic Bishops, opposition parties, civic actors, or ordinary Zambians like me) raise governance concerns, they do so in the spirit of accountable democratic governance. They do not do so because they hate the president as a person, hate his ethnic identity, or hate where he was born. I insist that a better Zambia is possible but we won’t get it if we treat criticism of presidential leadership failure as expression of hate. Unfortunately, even Hichilema himself has embraced this warped thinking that any criticism of his leadership actions is hate speech. This attitude has deprived him of the much needed feedback on his leadership performance and capacity to listen to divergent views, consequently impoverishing his presidency. We must embrace the unfamiliar, eschew haste in passing judgement, and be more tolerant and understanding. These qualities are especially essential to those in public leadership roles. I once raised concern that we seem to have prepared different standards for this president compared to those who came before him. If a leader can only provide five hours of electricity to the people in a day, they have failed. If a leader can only increase the cost of living, they have failed. If a leader…I can go on. In addition to denying the president the benefit of legitimate public feedback on his performance, misconstruing criticism as hate makes it look like the responsibility of holding our public leaders to account falls on those who either love him or hail from the region where the president does not come from. If his supporters and Tongas, Lozis and Zambians from Northwestern Province join in calling out the wrongs of Hichilema, he will no longer play the tribal card of reducing all criticism of his leadership to ethnic hatred. In the uncritical minds of some of the president's supporters, I criticise Hichilema because I hate him! Most of the individuals who hold this view are people who repeatedly criticise me on this platform, even when their criticism is quite often devoid of reason or substance. I do not think those who criticise me do so because they hate me. I think they criticise me, even if I hold no elected public office, simply because they have a different take, different opinions, on things. Why is it so hard to apply the same logic to my criticism of an elected public leader like Hichilema who is accountable to us, the public? I have been providing regular political commentaries on Zambian affairs since 2009. Why was my much stronger criticism of Hichilema's predecessors, namely Rupiah Banda, Michael Sata, and Edgar Lungu, not considered hatred of these individual leaders? In fact, many of the individuals who today accuse me of harbouring hatred for Hichilema were people who were very happy with my much stinging criticism of the leadership failures of his predecessors. When I called Sata a tribalist and undemocratic leader who did not listen to advise, and provided evidence in support of my conclusions, they were happy to cheer me on, even as Sata's supporters said I was bitter and a Hichilema supporter. When I called Lungu a tribalist and corrupt leader, and provided evidence in support of my conclusions, they were happy to cheer me on, even as Lungu's supporters said I was bitter and petitioned the police to arrest me for sedition. Some of Hichilema's supporters, as part of the enjoyment of their exercise of the right to free expression, even insult me, call me names, or outrightly declare that they dislike me. Of course I would prefer content-based discussion, but if the best that anyone's mind can do is to insult me, I will consider their actions as part of the right to free expression. I recognise that people have the right to dislike me, to call me names, to wish me whatever they desire, to feel however they want about me. I have no problem with all this. I do not speak to be liked or secure the validation of anyone. I speak to express myself and I respect the right of other people to do the same. As I have repeatedly stated, free speech is not just for the people or thoughts we like or agree with; it is also for people we despise and opinions that we do not support. The important point is not the position I take on a given issue of public interest. It is the reasoning advanced in support of said position. If I say Hichilema is a lying, tribal, corrupt, unpatriotic, vindictive, hypocritical, lawless, and undemocratic scumbag, what is important is not simply this description; it is the reasons and evidence I have adduced in support of this conclusion. Anyone is welcome to challenge my conclusions or evidence, to say "I disagree with your argument for this and that reason." What I totally reject is the idea that criticism of a president's leadership actions amounts to hate; it does not. If I point out that Hichilema is failing to ensure adequate ethnic diversity in public appointments and provide evidence in support of this assertion, anybody else is welcome to demonstrate weakness in my stated point of view. If I point out that Hichilema is a compulsive liar and provide evidence in support of this assertion, anybody else is welcome to demonstrate weakness in my stated point of view. If I point out that Hichilema’s fight against corruption is a sham and provide evidence in support of this assertion, anybody else is welcome to demonstrate weakness in my stated point of view. If I point out that Hichilema is a compulsive liar and provide evidence in support of this assertion, anybody else is welcome to demonstrate weakness in my stated point of view. If I point out that Hichilema has eroded Zambia’s democracy and provide evidence in support of this assertion, anybody else is welcome to demonstrate weakness in my stated point of view. If I point out that Hichilema has failed to reduce the cost of living, as per his campaign promise, and provide evidence in support of this assertion, anybody else is welcome to demonstrate weakness in my stated point of view. If I point out that Hichilema (working in cohort with his friend Situmbeko Musokotwane) has facilitated the extraction of the country’s mineral wealth by multinational corporations without ensuring sufficient returns in revenue collection for Zambia and provide evidence in support of this assertion, anybody else is welcome to demonstrate weakness in my stated point of view. If I point out that Hichilema has failed to…and provide evidence in support of this assertion, anybody else is welcome to demonstrate weakness in my stated point of view. Simply dismissing my criticism as an expression of my alleged hatred for Hichilema is most unhelpful. Those who do so are depriving me the opportunity to learn what I do not know and Hichilema the opportunity to adjust his leadership style and change for the better. While I do not hesitate to share my opinions on matters of public concern, I also retain the intellectual integrity of one who is willing to abandon their point of view if its weakness can be shown. I have repeatedly stated that I harbour no hatred against Hichilema. What I hate is his bad leadership, whose meaning I have explained in the article below. There is no constitutional democracy in the world that requires citizens to love their elected leaders. Loving individuals is the responsibility of their spouses and family members. Once these individuals step up to hold elective public office, we owe them one thing: accountability or feedback on their performance. No elected public leader or their supporter should burden me or another person with any demand for affirmation or affection. In a functioning democracy, the duty of citizens is to hold their elected leaders to account so that they deliver basic services and do not undermine accountable democratic governance. This is what I have been doing across different administrations, including this one. As early as December 2021, when I analysed Hichilma's first 100 days in office, I raised governance concerns of his leadership in the hope that he could address them so that they do not grow into bigger problems. He did not listen. In 2022, when he was celebrating one year in office, I raised governance concerns of his leadership in the hope that he could address them so that they do not grow into bigger problems. He did not listen. In 2023, I raised governance concerns of his leadership in the hope that he could address them so that they do not grow into bigger problems. He did not listen. In 2024, I raised governance concerns of his leadership in the hope that he could address them so that they do not grow into bigger problems. He did not listen. In fact, as did his predecessor in 2021 in response to my criticism of the abuse of state institutions to fix critics and opponents, the president asked his supporters to report me to the police for alleged hate speech against him! In 2025, I raised governance concerns of his leadership in the hope that he could address them so that they do not grow into bigger problems. He did not listen. This year and for the many reasons that I shared in the interview on the link below, Hichilema is losing the election because he did not listen to criticism that we, as citizens, raised about his performance. He is also losing the election because of his extremist supporters who, in addition to a wilful but harmful failure to hold him to account, dismiss legitimate criticism of his leadership from other people as hate speech. What a pity! What a wasted opportunity! I have just read a story on a ruling party platform casually dismissing Global Witness's report that "Ahead of Zambia's general election...First Quantum Minerals and its associates have been running a decades-long covert influence campaign distorting the copper-rich nation's democracy" and that the Canadian firm has "become his [Hichilema's] largest funder in the upcoming 2026 election after pledging up to $50 million in support." The report adds that "FQM has reaped enormous benefits: major changes to Zambia's tax regime have save the company $771 million between 2022 and 2025, and it has been shielded from legal scrutiny." Rather than interrogating these grave concerns, the publisher, the Zambian Watchdog which is run from State House, is treating the issue so casually when Global Witness, a very credible international outlet, raises serious corruption and governance allegations. In January 2019, I raised questions about Hichilema's relationship with foreign mining firms, but was told by his supporters that I just hate him. Today, we are ere. The net result is that Hichilema, who in opposition politics had positioned himself as the reformist leader Zambia needed to reclaim its democracy, eliminate corruption, unite the country, and set it on the path to economic recovery, has, in power, turned out to be nearly everything he detested about his predecessor and, in some cases, much worse. Under his watch, corruption has thrived on a massive scale, the economy is a shambles, ethnic divisions have worsened, Zambia’s previously principled foreign policy has been shredded into something unrecognisable, and democracy is essentially non-existent. The man who was expected to lead reform has instead transitioned into an aspiring despot. Unless he rigs the election, or eliminates his main rival, Zambians should prepare for a new administration after 13 August. Many voters have reached a point of no return and it is too late for Hichilema to change their mind. A combination of failure to listen and the "you just hate Hichilema" brigade has destroyed his once promising presidency. I see many people expressing surprise at the huge turnout at Brian Mundubile's rallies. What they miss is that the turnout reflects the revulsion against Hichilema rather than genuine support for Brian. Even if Brian was not there, voters would have rallied behind another candidate through which to express their opposition to Hichilema as a result of his major policy failures. As early as 2023, wen I noticed Hichilema's direction of travel, I warned that the greatest opposition that he and the UPND face is a politically alert and informed citizenry, not an opposition party: “The biggest opposition that Hichilema faces is the people, particularly if he fails to lower the cost of living and tackle the huge unemployment outside the health and education sectors. They can stop opposition rallies like Edgar Lungu and the PF tried to do but if Zambians would have decided in a year or two that Hichilema must go at the next election, there is nothing that he can do to stop them....Even if Hichilema tries to, he cannot stop the people’s will. Even if he succeeds in killing the PF and in his manoeuvres to block his main political opponents from running in 2026, another platform and another candidate to serve as the outlet of opposition will be found. The voters will support any visionary patriot they see as better placed to be used as the vehicle for removing Hichilema just like they chose him as the vehicle for removing Lungu. Please tell him”. Hichilema did not listen. Again. This continued failure to listen prompted my conclusion two years later that "Many Zambians may not know yet who they will vote for in the 2026 presidential election, but they already know who they won’t vote for." The truth is that I tried to warn Hichilema in good time and at different points that he was heading in the wrong direction. The President, dripping with arrogance, did not listen. Think of it this way. A bus (representing a political party in power) is transporting passengers (active citizens) from Intercity terminus (2021, being the departure point of where we did not want to be anymore) to Nakonde (2026, being the arrival point of destination before subsequently deciding whether to book the same bus for the return trip). After leaving Intercity, some passengers notice that the bus is heading towards Livingstone (a wrong destination that takes us back to before 2021). A few of us (active citizens) decide to stand up (holding the leader to account) and confront both the driver (the president) and his conductor (Minister of Finance), demanding an explanation for why we are heading to Livingstone when we were promised that we woud be taken to Nakonde. Other passengers, mainly those who came from the ethnic group of the driver and conductor, defended the duo even before it could respond to our concerns. They repeatedly told us that "You just hate the driver. Please sit down!" One or two relatives of the conductor joined in support, saying the "The driver and the conductor are excellent and one of them has even won awards for stellar performance on his duties, including his remarkable capacity to understand direction of travel"! That is how some passengers kept quiet. I kept on talking, especially after we reached Choma in the hope that if we turned atthat point, we woudl not wast more time. I talked because I could not get off the bus at undesigned stations, so the only solution was to appeal to the driver to change course. I explained that it would be an act of extreme irresponsibility on my part as an active passenger to wait until the bus has reached Livingstone before holding the driver to account about the direction of travel. That is why I tried to warn the driver that we were headed in the wrong direction. Unfortunately, other passengers said we should just sit back comfortably, enjoy the ride which included some morsels of food delivered by the bus, and trust the driver because other drivers before him were much worse. In the end, we arrived in Livingstone, our undesired destination. Just when we were arriving, we saw another bus, loading passing from there directly to Nakonde. The driver, upon realising the cost of his failure to listen and the disappointment in the eyes of the passengers, urged everyone to sit down, promising that he would take us to Nakonde if we give him more time. With the exception of those who came from the driver's ethnic group and the auxiliary ones, most passengers, who had shown great faith in his driving skills by paying (voting) the fare for the bus as their mode of transport from Intercity to Nakonde, have left the bus for the other. These include those who had adopted silence during the journey after realising that the driver, aided by the choir mentioned, was not a listening kind. As I write this post, the alternative bus is almost full. The same passengers who accused those of us who, along the way, advised the driver to change course, of harbouring hatred for the driver are now wondering why nearly everyone is leaving the bus we came with for an alternative one that is promising to take us directly to Nakonde. One of the driver's supporters, reiterating the driver's earlier appeal that we should stick to the bus that brought us to Livingstone, just shouted at us a moment ago: "The alternative bus will take you to a wrong destination. Its driver cannot be trusted; just stick to this one because you won't have to pay a new fare". The supporter is overlooking the point that we are already at a wrong destination, the current driver has betrayed our trust, and that we would rather repose our trust in another person. It is not good to remain on a bus, driven by a person who does not listen, out of the fear that an alternative one might be driven by someone who could be worse. Let us try the alternative bus. If its driver takes us to a wrong destination, we will disembark from the bus we are about to jump onto, as we have done before, and find another one until we reach Nakonde. For me and other active passengers, such has been the the current driver's betrayal of our trust that we have reached a point of no return. We cannot trust this driver anymore, especially that when we tried to correct him, no one explained to us why our concerns were unfounded. We were just told that we hate hate the driver or his ethic group or or the province where he comes from. Recently, Dr Lee Habasonda, a lecturer in political science at the University of Zambia, told Reuters (watch the video clip on the link below) that electoral success is a matter of thresholds – of grievances, feelings, frustrations, etc. Lee’s view is that once a certain threshold or tipping point has been reached, "no matter your manifesto, ideology, lies" or whatever those in power do or say, the voters will "decide to change government" because they would have reached a point of no return. Emotionally, many Zambian voters, including some that I know who voted for Hichilema in 2021, have passed that threshold where no matter what Hichilema or UPND does, these voters will reject him. This is because the threshold, or the point of no return, has been reached. As Lee argued, those in power "may say we have already won this election when they campaign but the political coalitions and realignment" suggest otherwise. When the opposition wins next month, we will need to advise them to get non-sycophants at State House and in the critical posts in the civil service. It is important that they understand that unless there is a clear shift away from the harmful culture we have raised concerns about, we will be compelled to challenge them with the same resolve we previously applied to both the PF and UPND governments. On my part, I promise that I will always be on the side of the people. You will not find me in government even after the election. Once Hichilema is out of office, I will leave him alone and my attention will shift to holding to account the next set of public leaders. As I made clear in 2021, I am content serving as an academic and I will work, as part of my civic duty, to hold the new Government to account as I did with previous Governments. I am not available for or interested in any form of government job. For now, Iet me continue listening to the attached song. Chalo chesu.

Is Petoskey Becoming Traverse City 2.0? A housing development full of condos costing over $1.8 million is sure to only bring the worst sort of people to town By O.W. Root O.W. Root Petoskey — Whenever a new residential building goes up in a Northern town, the reaction from the locals is almost always the same. Squinted eyes and skepticism. The orange cones, the overturned soil, the trucks, the trees coming down, and the mini billboard out front designed to give everyone a little taste of what’s to come. It’s all viewed as a worrying harbinger of unwanted change. That sounds like fuddy-duddy-ism, I know. But it isn’t entirely. The towns on the lake Up North are quaint, beautiful, old, and almost every new build is the exact opposite. True, a new build can’t be an old house. But a new place can be designed to blend naturally with its surroundings. Curiously, they almost never are. The new buildings are almost always ugly eyesores sullying villages that remind us of more human times. New builds also mean more people are coming, and that’s not always a good thing. Yes, we need tourists in the summer, and a certain in-flow of new arrivals every so often is good and natural for a town. It means a place is attractive and desirable. But look at what’s happened to Traverse City. I hate to say it, but I hate going to Traverse City. It’s not a lake town anymore. It’s something much worse. In Petoskey, there’s a lot of construction going on, and it’s not all exactly encouraging. There are more buildings going up right now than any time in the past five years. Driving by some of these sites gives me somewhat of a sick feeling. It feels a little like an early stage Traverse City 2.0. Not all these new builds are equally worrying. The story is a little more complex. There is an actual housing shortage on Little Traverse Bay, and it’s not related to new arrivals who want to buy $750,000 homes. Reasonably priced housing is missing. A common complaint for many business owners is staff shortages. Simply put, normal working people can’t afford to live here, so there aren’t enough workers for the businesses here. That’s a real problem if you want your town to thrive. What we are seeing right now in Petoskey are two kinds of new buildings going up. The difference between them and their potential impacts are stark. Some are critical for the life of the town, and some will most likely attract the worst kind of people. Let us take a look at an example of each type of new build currently going up in Petoskey. The Block at Petoskey The Block at Petoskey is a brand new apartment complex on Standish Avenue, just west of Bear Creek River. It’s in a slow part of town, right at the edge where the houses trickle off and into the more commercial area approaching Meijer. Across the street are a tanning salon and an auto repair shop. The Block at Petoskey is set to include a gym, walking trails, a yoga studio, and a clubhouse. To be honest, The Block at Petoskey has nicer amenities than any apartment complex I’ve ever lived in. It includes just about everything you might want with a 2 bed-2 bath unit going for $1,724 per month. Aesthetically, the Block at Petoskey is okay. It’s not great, but it’s not terrible. It’s just fine. It’s not real bonafide cheap, but it’s not crazy either, and it’s certainly not luxury pricing. It’s built and priced for people who work for a living. It’s a needed development which will benefit the town. The Summit Over Bay Harbor The Summit Over Bay Harbor is an absurd development set to tower over US-31, just north of Bay Harbor. Based on the highly produced sleek simulations found on their website, the units might best be described as modern luxury. They are quite frankly, soulless expensive Lego slop. They have absolutely nothing in common with any of the traditional architecture of the area. They say Northern Michigan about as much as a cactus does. They start at—yes, start at—$1.8 million. Based on their map, they are planning almost 75 units. It’s a very nice area up here, but is it nice enough for 75 $1.8 million units? Eh, I don’t know about that. I’m not sure there is enough capital here to support 75 year-round residents who want to shell out $1.8 million for what amounts to a modern condo overlooking 31 and Bay Harbor. The traditional type of Northern resident (seasonal or year-round) who wants to spend $1.8 million will generally seek out a historical home or build something more culturally in-line with the area. Say what you want about Bay Harbor, but at least they try. There is something a little off about it there only because it’s impossible to build something new that also feels organic and old. But the spirit and direction is right. The hope is correct at Bay Harbor. At least the homes feel like they are attempting some kind of organic integration into the historical architecture and general spirit of the area. The Summit Over Bay Harbor is most likely not going to be for the traditional kinds of residents of Little Traverse Bay. I very much doubt that the majority of the units will be lived in year-round. Most will be short-term rentals. I suspect the units will function more as investments for people who don’t live here. There will be no positive cultural impact. Keeping the lake towns as the lake towns we love is an extremely delicate operation. Balancing new arrivals, housing, jobs, local culture, trying to remain vital while not destroying the reason we want to be here in the first place is like balancing on a tightrope. It needs to be done very carefully. Petoskey needs apartments like The Block at Petoskey. These more reasonably priced places will certainly help to keep working residents here and the town alive year-round. Petoskey doesn’t need the soulless investment units of The Summit over Bay Harbor unless we want to become Traverse City 2.0. And we certainly don’t.

Happy 86th Birthday to KATHARINE ROSS !!! Born | January 29, 1940 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Video | Katharine Ross, Paul Newman and Robert Redford on the set of, and in publicity photos for, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), directed by George Roy Hill. KATHARINE ROSS MINI BIO Katharine Juliet Ross was born January 29, 1940, in Hollywood, CA, to Katherine (née Hall) and Dudley Tying Ross. Her father, who had also worked as a reporter for the Associated Press, was a commander in the US Navy when she was born. His navy career shuttled the family around to Virginia, then Palo Alto, and finally to Walnut Creek, outside of San Francisco, where Ross grew up. Ross graduated from Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek in 1957 and attended Santa Rosa Junior College and Diablo Valley College in the Bay Area, where she took part in her first onscreen work in a student film. Moving to San Francisco, into an apartment on Stockton Street above a grocery store, she began her acting career as an understudy in Actor's Workshop productions, and was soon auditioning for roles. She was also married in 1960 to college sweetheart Joel Fabiani, the first of five husbands. Work came steadily for Ross, at first mainly in television westerns, and indeed Westerns would make up the majority of her best-known work, her natural beauty being a strong asset in that genre. She made her TV debut in an episode of Sam Benedict (1962), and her first film role was in the Civil War era Shenandoah (1965) starring James Stewart. Ross' career as a leading actress began in earnest in 1967, with her strong turn co-starring with James Caan and Simone Signoret in Games (1967), and with The Graduate (1967). Ross' performance as Elaine earned her a Supporting Actress Oscar nomination. A disappointing, formulaic John Wayne vehicle, Hellfighters (1968), followed but she soon returned to form with two films with Robert Redford. As Etta Place in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), Ross was part of the most memorable scene from that hit film, precariously perched barefoot on the bumper of that newfangled contraption, the bicycle, as Paul Newman's Butch Cassidy takes her for a ride. The compelling Tell Them Willie Boy Is Here (1969) was less of a box office success but more highly regarded by the critics, and Ross won a BAFTA Award for her work as Lola, a Paiute Indian who flees with her boyfriend, played by Robert Blake, after he kills her father in self-defense. Swept up into a whirlwind of fame, widely idealised as the symbol of beauty for the Woodstock generation, Ross had accomplished so much so quickly that it seemed her entire career had happened almost all at once, in that frenzy of activity between 1967 and 1969. Sure enough, there followed a long dry spell in which she was mostly cast in forgettable roles; her next strong film wasn't for another six years. In The Stepford Wives (1975), an intriguing Black comedy-cum-horror film, Ross plays a independent, free-spirited wife newly relocated to a suburb where the other wives all seem to be just a little too perfect, too submissive; it was arguably her strongest performance to date, but Stepford Wives would prove to be but a temporary resurgence for Ross, and her work in the decade and a half to follow would include such star-studded duds as The Betsy (1978), and a return to TV, including a part in primetime soap opera The Colbys (1985). Along the way, however, Ross found love. After four failed marriages (the second, third and fourth were to John Marion, Conrad L. Hall and Gaetano Lisi respectively), she met her current husband Sam Elliott, while working on The Legacy (1978). They married in May 1984; that September, just four months short of her 45th birthday, Ross gave birth to a daughter, Cleo Rose. In 1991, Ross and Elliott adapted the Louis L'Amour novel, Conagher (1991), for television in a remarkably affecting Western tale which showcases both actors' remarkable talents. Ross continued to take roles up until her early 80s and, as usual, her work was strong ― something that was sometimes overlooked in her youth due to her famous beauty. Katharine Ross and Sam Elliott live on their ranchito in Malibu. - IMDb Mini Biography by: Larry-115
