When I was a kid, my parents moved me and my siblings out to a small town, and we lived there for about 24 years. Unfortunately, in the last 10, the very corporate mayor has been building up the town, which isn't that great, so I'm jealous. I hope your little town stays little.

I visited the Maine Maritime Academy around Christmastime about 30 years ago and it was basically an old cargo ship surrounded by ice, snow and pine trees and you have to drive about 30 miles north and you get to Bangor to see more than five human beings per square mile.
