The price is worth every bit i tell you.

I agree 100 per cent

There's a whole lot of things happening without our notice

Yeah....humans are brilliant man

It has a control joint

There’s a “your mom” joke in here somewhere

Who the fu€k is this narrator? He narrates my dreams now?

I dud a research on this construction method in my master’s program then The findings were fun and interesting

Wow

Japan needs these

did I hear that rubber is being used as a main material? what's its material fatigue factor?

Seismic base isolators. They are used in structures in earthquake prone areas and also vibration prone areas (like buildings over a underground train station).

It must be a regulation

En qué consisten esos amortiguadores ? @grok

Base isolators are amazing for most situations. Amazing. In earthquake country they ought to be as common as seat belts in cars.

❤️❤️

Thanks for posting, I just learned a thing

Great earthquake/seismic resistance for towers and high rise buildings. Absolutely brilliant
The bowls under buildings are cool also

You know, rubber is an organic material, and as such will degrade over time. 40 years in construction, seen them used once, on a theater. 25 years, theater still going.....

Would not have known that. Thanks for posting something cool and useful!

Last for a life time or need to be replace periodically?

but too dangerous

Use of shock absorbers in highrise buildings

Mustn't it be compulsory?
