For over three months, staff of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka locked out their Provost, depriving him use of his office. A team set up by the Minister of Education arrived the school today to mediate the ongoing impasse. However, staff of the college aided by students attacked the team from Abuja, damaging over five vehicles and the Provost’s official quarters. Not done, the rioting staff and students also blocked all entrances in and out of the college. The police arrived the scene and restored normalcy after being attacked with stones and sachets of water by the rioters. Meanwhile, thirty-two suspects have been arrested while men of the Nigeria Police Force from Area Command, Surulere remain on ground to ensure that the restored peace remains intact.

St Thomas has one of the best Mid Major prospects in this years NBA Draft in 6’6 Sophomore Wing Nolan Minessale. Minessale has been one of the best Mid Major players in the country this season as a sophomore averaging 22/4/4 and 2 steals a game while shooting 56% from the field. Minessale has an extremely mature game for his age and has been one of the most efficient and effective players in all of college basketball. He’s been one of the best slashers in the country getting to the rim and the free throw line at an elite level while also shooting a high level 70% at the rim. Minessale has the ability to score at the rim with a variety of ways, using his craft and touch. He’s also a strong catch and shoot threat from deep. Minessale uses his ability to get to the rim at an elite level to create plays for his teammates and he’s been one of the best passers 6’6 or taller in the country. Minessale has also been one of the best mid major defenders in college basketball with his athleticism and versatility to defend multiple positions. Minessale, Cameron Boozer, and PJ Haggerty are the only three players in the country this season to shoot 65% at the rim on at least 50 makes and have an AST% of 20.

One of the best moments from Jesus Christ Superstar is the garden scene where Jesus talks to God and accepts his fate. I always say Ted Neeley is by far the best Jesus out of all the actors who played the role. His vocals are absolutely killer here and this scene still hits hard after all these years. I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Neeley live in highschool at a performance of JCS - one of his last - and got to shake his hand afterwards. One of the few true rock star actors.
