You missed the best part, how the universal communication enabled by the babelfish was expected to put an end to all misunderstandings and wars, but instead caused even more misunderstandings and even bloodier wars than anything else in history. Sounds a bit like Twitter.

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is, in my opinion, one of the greatest pieces of work ever written and wonderfully brought to TV life in the timeless BBC series. It’s just unrivalled.
