The Homer shelves in my office

Two copies of Emily Wilson? Why?

i got sent two

Half those aren't even about Homer

um, not the case

Thank you for sharing. I notice you have You Are Odysseus by Laura Jenkinson-Brown - what a true gem of a book. The interactive retelling masterfully brings Homer's epic to life, blending faithful storytelling with engaging choices that make the adventure feel personal and immersive. My 11-year-old, who's learning Greek and studying The Odyssey, finds it incredibly fun and captivating, and is drawing her deeper into the journey than ever before. Highly recommended!

it is really good!

A bust of the non-existent Homer. Impossible to live out certain positions.

Wow. You should do a bibliography and post it on your substack. I can’t see well enough to determine if there are translations on the shelf but I’d be surprised if you “need” those. Do you have Chapman or Pope or Cowper or Lattimore?

Of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh. (Though not everybody seems to agree that this is a Bad Thing.)

Great! All of them in English? I have a couple of selves with texts in ancient and modern Greek. The pleasure of reading the original in poetry is superb!

Nope. At least 7 different versions of the Greek texts

Great!
