the “horror game” in question

a lot of people saying “there are other, scarier scenes!”— i swear except for regeneradors everything in this game is camp and silly to the maximum, if you’re scared of it it’s a you issue 😭

like, the game was designed to be “scary” as in overwhelming thanks to the high action levels, not scary as in genuinely horrific like say, RE1 or 7 lol

if you guys keep going i swear will make a thread on every goofy thing in this game you will NOT rewrite resident evil history on my watch!!

btw i don’t know why so many of you think i’m hating, i LOVE re4!! i just don’t think it was the appropriate example for the point being made lol

Questionable example aside I think it's also because they explicitly said they wanted the main character to experience the horrors in the game from the same perspective as the player LOL

I love RE4 so much with all my heart, but its not hard to admit that its not scary at all lol. It being the best RE game and it being scary or not is whole different conversations. I hope people doesnt mix things up
