“There's no comparison for the power of women.” Speaking at the TIME Women of the Year Leadership Forum, WNBA All-Star Chiney Ogwumike said that during this “pivotal moment” for women’s sports, it's important not to compare women to men. With sponsorships growing 50% faster than men’s leagues, according to the World Economic Forum, and the WNBA recently cited as the fastest-growing brand in professional sports, Ogwumike added that continued investment in women’s sports will come from recognizing that women’s sports can stand on their own.
