Amazon rainforest: bigger than the United States 🤯 My brain after trying to comprehend: buffering... buffering... error 404 scale not found

The Amazon's so vast, it's like God flexing His creation skills.

Tried to zoom out. Still can’t see the edge. Send help.🤣

If the Amazon were a country, it would be one of the largest on Earth

Tried satellite view. Still all jungle.Nature's ultimate troll. 🔥😩 Via Google Earth Timelapse (Google, Landsat, Copernicus)

It’s so big it creates its own weather systems.

Now do the Boreal Forest, and they say the earth is dying...what a scam.

Who wants to go on an adventure

You know what else is big?

And...it has flourished with the extra CO2 we have provided for it as well as many other areas around the world including some deserts that are flowering and greening causing numerous habitats for animals and reptiles! God knows what He is doing!

People need to get onto jungle keepers Paul Rosolie and the team doing some incredible work trying to save large parts of the Amazon keep up the good work guys

Mind literally melted at the end 😂 Earth said “hold my beer” and showed the receipts.

Yeah, it’s pretty large. About 2 million square miles if memory serves. Put in perspective, the US is about 3.5 million square miles.

You can fly for hours over it and still not see the end, that’s insane.

According, to all day Astronomy, Experts estimate that nearly 60% of AMAZON rainforest remains unexplored in detail, an expanse so vast and dense that even current technology fails to see clearly under its green canopy.

Wtf thats huge.

The Amazon rainforest covers about 5.5 million km², but much of it is inaccessible and unexplored 😳 — its true size and the life it holds may never be fully understood!

It’s huge. I ve been on the edge of it. The sound of the jungle at sunset is deafening

We still should not destroy it and I am not a tree hugger.

Takes 3 to 5 hours for a commercial plane to cross it.

The landmass is really huge 🤯

Imagine what is in there that we’ve never seen before?!

Nooo, don't tell me it's that big 😭😭😭😭

Even though people say it's bigger than the United States, the Amazon rainforest itself is ~2.1–2.3 million square miles, while the contiguous US is ~3.1 million sq mi. But the whole Amazon basin (including non-forest parts) pushes closer to that US scale. Either way, it's absurdly massive.

Remember you can fit 1.3 Million earth into sun. This makes Amazon beyond a simple dot If you trace to galaxy it makes the sun beyond a simple dot This stuff is real

There's things in there we don't know about

It's Wow Really 😮

@grok how big of a that forest ?

Seriously 😳 the Amazon is massive, hard to even wrap your head around how huge it really is!

OMG 😱

Wait until they find out about the sky river

Something about seeing a rain forest at that scale that instantly gratifies my heart. The place where Mother Earth can Breathe. Not somewhere I would go, I certainly wouldn’t survive it, but earth needs it. 😊

So…like Houston to Dallas? Or to the other side…like ElPaso? 😂

I had the good fortune of visiting Iquitos, Peru for a bit. It was enchanting and an adventure I'll never forget.
