The committee engaged with major mobile network operators, including MTN, Vodacom, Cell C, Telkom, and Rain. He challenged the logic behind data and airtime expiry, questioning whether it was a purely capitalist scheme designed to exploit consumers. Mobile operators will have to let you roll over unused data to the next month at no extra cost, so you won’t lose what you didn’t use. Bundles shorter than seven days are excluded, but you’ll also be able to transfer unused data to other users on the same network.
