The idea is to accelerate path to permit on power to compete with the Chinese. Chinese have built 514 gigawatts of power in the last 12 months. 110 of it was solar, so that's useless for AI, but nearly 400 gigs on coal-burning and gas power plants using turbines,... and most of it coal. Investors like me immediately said, "Wait a second. Instead of waiting seven years, I can get a permit in seven months? That's what I heard." We don't have that policy yet, but that's where we're going. We went long right away into some real estate deals in states where there is sub six cents a kilowatt hour power available, either stranded or on pipeline, with the assumption that we could close the land purchase around a permit that would be issued within seven months. Bitzero is a power, permit, and land company. What they've done is search the globe looking for the lowest cost of power, sustainable electric power, some nuclear power, sub six cents a kilowatt hour. You can mine bitcoin on their land or you can do Ethereum, or you can build a data center. Everybody in AI has to have power, land, permits, and water. BitZero has them. It's an infrastructure play and I find a lot less risky than figuring out who's going to win in AI. Everybody needs what BitZero has, power.

It's a tool for productivity and margin enhancement. It's just starting to get utilized in all 11 sectors of the economy. My companies use it. But it's nowhere near the disruptor that people think. I'm more concerned about Chinese on AI because they have unlimited power. They are not restricted to set up coal-burning electrical plants. We can't do that. AI right now, for me, is a competition on defense and the military in China. I worry that we're falling behind the Chinese on power on our grid, and we haven't addressed it yet. We do not have policy that lets us build out at the same pace they are.

Not only do we have the land, 40,000 acres, we've got a pipeline running through the land, and we have this designation that can accelerate permitting." The US has developed zero new gigawatts and the grid there is tapped out. So, the signal was that he is going to fast track permits. I was not the only investor scrambling after we heard that live. We immediately took control of 13,000 acres of land where stranded gas is located in the US. For the first time in almost 14 weeks Canada has even been mentioned by the US administration where it now suffers 25% and above punitive tariffs. To me as an investor, that's the signal of good things to come because it was tied to the Greenland initiative. Now, I don't think Trump's invading Greenland. I don't think he's going to militarily take it over. I don't think he's gonna buy it. I think he's gonna become part of a protectorate with rights so that he can invest capital in very advanced missile defense systems.

Most data centers today don't use more water than a golf course, and so that's a huge package of misinformation. Additionally, everybody has to bring their own power. The major benefit to that is we need more power in America. Not just data centers, we need overall power. I'm not as optimistic that jawboning the Fed is going to get rates reduced anytime soon. I mean this is an unusual situation obviously, but I don't think you can count on rate cuts while Powell's there. This tariff situation is getting really interesting. Tariffs themselves on commodities or goods that you don't create yourself is inflationary. There's no way around it. Get rid of those tariffs so they can bring down those increased costs on that affordability issue. The reason the S&P maintains new highs, in my opinion, is the productivity factor brought in by AI tools that have just started to be used in the last 24 months is really effective.
