'dual process theory' has been around for hundreds of years. It's a very useful framework. Kahneman can be credited for popularising it, and for re-naming system 1 as 'intuition', originally called 'associative' by William James. Both called system 2 'reasoning'

Learning this idea and put in practice a little every day will change your life. Just because you will learn how you react and think about everything in life.
