The IDF Home Front Command has completed an analysis of Iran’s overnight and morning missile strikes on Israeli cities. The findings show that civilians who followed shelter protocols were largely unharmed. Iran launched around 200 ballistic missiles in four main waves. The IDF says about 50 were not intercepted... as they were heading for open areas, while a small number breached defenses. In central Israel, missile hits in Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, and Rishon Lezion killed three civilians and injured roughly 80. Seven soldiers were lightly wounded in one of the impacts. In Tel Aviv, a missile struck the 9th floor of a high-rise, destroying several apartments, but residents inside bomb-safe rooms survived with minimal or no injuries. In Ramat Gan, an older home without a fortified room was hit, but residents sheltering in a basement were unharmed. The Home Front Command urges all civilians to seek the safest possible shelter as Iran continues its missile attacks. These ballistic missiles, each carrying hundreds of kilograms of explosives, pose a far greater threat than Iran’s drones, which are often intercepted before reaching Israeli airspace.
