I vaguely recall this movie as: Magician is a total D*** to a Prince until he steals his girlfriend and Paul Giamatti claps.

Pretty sure this scene was in the movie.

Then he went to Thomas Edison to figure out how he does it.

Somehow this deleted scene has more atmosphere than half the theatrical cut. What a find.

I think my favorite part about this was I got to share it with my mom since she loved this movie

If the Illusionist was written as a Now You See Me prequel.
