@titcoinpodcast Starts by talking about broad based inflation... Then gives examples of supply and demand on specific good. then talks about gov spending and taxes but doesn't actually say the problem. It's criminal beyond belief.

@titcoinpodcast Increasing the money supply by a few Trillion through the pandemic is really the BIGGEST reason for inflation. Everything else she mentioned is peanuts in comparison. Wonder why @femme_economics am expert in this field left that very important part out of her video?

Yes. There is no mention in the video about the increase of money supply. Inflation derives from the Latin word “inflare” which means “blow in to”. We have inflation when additional money is blown into the market of goods and services. The video defines inflation starting from its effects, as an increase of prices, without explaining its real nature and causes (the video attributes maliciously the increase of prices only to shortages of supply and increases of demand)

When they print more dollars to fund endless programs, more money competes for fewer goods and services, and prices rise as the inevitable result. So the higher costs you feel are what happens as a consequence of inflation, after the government inflates the money supply.

Printing money (aka legalized currency counterfeiting) is the systemic violation of private property which occurs in exponentially larger waves until the centrally counterfeited currency collapses in hyperinflation. Contrary to Keynesian propaganda, inflation is not a necessary or healthy component of any economy whatsoever. Clearly evincing this simple truth is the monetization of gold, which was historically the commodity most resistant to unexpected supply inflation. Now, #Bitcoin is monetizing and disrupting all other forms of money precisely because it is absolutely immune to unexpected supply inflation. In other words, the money with the most predictably scarce supply wins on the free market, and Bitcoin absolutizes or perfects the all-important monetary property of scarcity. It has to do with the money supply and what’s going on with the money supply. And if you broadly measure it with what’s called Divisia M4…that’s running hot. Last year, It was running at 5.4% annual growth, and now it’s running at 7.9% annual growth. So it’s going up. It’s surging up. And to have a monetary growth rate consistent with hitting a 2% inflation target, Hanke’s golden growth rate is 6%, or a little bit lower than 6%. So they’ve exceeded that and the whole thing is accelerating.
