This season's last episode should have been a 2-part finale... Everything felt rush, the aftermath of Nightcrawler's sacrifice was poorly executed, it should have been properly flushed out, please sort this out for the 3rd season & beyond, otherwise this show will lose quality 😔

Fanfic levels of bullshit finale. It was good while it lasted.

This show adapted the twelve storyline from 2000's era comics. Instead of Cyclops they used Gambit. In the comics Jean & Cable team up to remove Apocalypse from Cyclops. They didn't need a Celestial who seemingly goes against its own motivations for creating Apocalypse for whatever reason. In any such case, Rogue coulda just taken Jean, Cable, even Xavier and Psylocke's powers to get rid of Apocalypse. There was no need to create some fanfiction tier original character versions of Rogue.

What I saw was a desperate attempt to turn *X-Men '97* into *What If...?*. And it didn't turn out well at all. What if Beau DeMayo had stayed on? We’re waiting for the true writer's version

Season 2 sucked and was absolute dog shit compared to season 1. After magneto died the whole show lost its identity and magic from season 1. It became a disjointed mess with pacing issues, lost its story and plot, No real connection or emotion for the characters and didn’t have any high stakes battles. The story by the end of season 1 felt like it was pointing to Onslaught… then we had a massive and obvious shift around episode 5 season 2 to the trash we got in the 2nd half of season 2… just absolutely trash. Showrunners just seemed lost with how bad the episodes were. Wasted effort and opportunity with Logan losing his adamantium. Pissed away the emotional setup from gambits loss… pissed away the emotional setup with magneto getting killed. Pissed away Cable story…. Making apocalypse mighty again from season 1 and the start of season 2, just to turn him into a bitch was horrible…. The gambit-pocalypse was just as bad as the live action apocalypse we got from Hollywood. DeMayo’s presence and direction clearly is what made season 1 so good. RIP x-men 97. Just a Greek fucking tragedy.

Guys, why did you have to rush the final episode ? It's like you just wanted to get it all over and done with. You could have made it an hour's episode or a 2 part finale. Come on guys, this is a very big show, u can't disrespect it like this.

The season was ruined after episode 4! Bring back Beau. He clearly understands how to make a season narratively cohesive.
