People tell me their five-year-olds can't swim. Here's my one-year-old and three-year-old sending it off the 2M platform. Excuses sink-kids rise. It's hard to relate to other parents sometimes. Too many hold their kids back because of their own fears and limits. Kids are built for movement, curiosity, and courage. I don't train my kids just so they can be safe from drowning (the number one cause of preventable death between ages 0-5.) I train them so they can help someone else if it ever happens in front of them, so they can be strong, productive members of society and have self-confidence. Parents it's our job to raise strong, confident kids who aren't bound by fear or held back by limits of the safety patents
