2028 1B/UT Audri Hedleston is looking for a summer team! Audri has a really unique story, which is probably why most people haven’t heard of her yet. She’s local, but I had never seen or heard of her before she walked into our facility wanting to try out Ballplex homeschool program. Right away, after talking to her for a few minutes, I could tell she was a very mature kid with a great attitude. Then she started swinging and I remember thinking… who are you and why have I never seen you before? lol The reality is Audri didn’t truly fall in love with the game until recently. She has only played travel ball once and was mainly just playing high school softball. But this past season, her passion for the game came back strong and now she’s very determined to pursue softball seriously. Audri has been part of our homeschool program the last few weeks and she has quickly become one of the hardest workers in the room. She’s super coachable, adapts very fast and has been making great adjustments already. She’ll continue working with us this summer and is hoping to find a team where she can showcase all the work she’s putting in.

This mom’s cat, Mitts, never came home, and she was up all night worried sick. This morning, her husband finally found him meowing in their shed , it turns out she had accidentally locked him inside for 12 whole hours without realizing it! The poor guy had lost his tracker a few days earlier, so they had been waiting on a new one. Needless to say, he got lots of cuddles once he was rescued. I did the same thing once when I lost my precious cat for an hour. I was a complete mess. When I finally found her, I gave her so much love. 🥰🤗❤️😻😻🐈

A woman killed in Derry has been named locally as Amy Doherty, who was aged in her late 20s. Ms Doherty was a mother of two young children. Ms Doherty was found at a house in the Summer Meadows Mews area of the city on Saturday morning and died in hospital. A man (30) was arrested on Saturday over her murder. Sinn Féin MLA Ciara Ferguson has said there is shock and devastation in the local area. She said: “Our heartfelt thoughts are with this woman’s loved ones as they face the unimaginable loss which this horrific crime has brought upon them. “A young woman’s life was taken in the latest act of violence against women and girls and I appeal to anyone with information to bring it forward to the PSNI."

My home in Beit Hanoun was the highest house there, and it had already been damaged before. I just received news that it has now been completely destroyed and has collapsed into rubble. I will never forget that video during the first truce, when I raised the Palestinian flag on top of my house, because it was the highest in Beit Hanoun. All I wish now is for my home to still be standing and strong, so that I can raise the Palestinian flag there once again ✌️🇵🇸.

I was comforted by a nurse from Keralam who came in every hour to check on my mother. Every single hour, she would come and check on her. She would smile, and she would hold her hand. I found myself thinking about how many sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters have been comforted in their most difficult moments by nurses from Keralam. Early in the morning, I asked her, “Do you sleep at night, or do you work the whole night?” And she said, “I work all night.” So, while the whole world sleeps, women from Keralam, not only in Keralam but also in Delhi, across the country, and around the world, are comforting people, holding their hands, and making them feel at ease. Friends! News on the Catio… Mum has been training the Kittens to trust and use the Catflap. We didn’t realise it would take so long! In the end, Mum has had to sit, holding it open, for hours, so that they would start using it. Cleo was the brave one… she went in and out pretty fast. But Ron and Percy were very worried about the whole thing. They needed reassurance that, if they went out, they could come back again.
