I hope @GlennMicallef gives due consideration to cutting off funding. Over 350 athletes left RU after the invasion. The remaining athletes, then, are the ones making a political statement: That they are proud to represent a country committing war crimes.

Theater of the absurd. The IOC has lifted all restrictions on Russian athletes. Today, on the day this video is being recorded, our city is once again under shelling — yesterday was a day of mourning for those killed in the Russian attack. And now, seeing this absolutely shameful decision just feels like some kind of unbelievable absurdity. This decision is not about the neutrality of sport. This decision is about rejecting reality. They would rather disqualify Ukraine than face the reality of the present day. I held a meeting with the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic, Miloš Vystrčil, his deputies, and committee chairs. We are grateful for the support of our European integration. I held a meeting with the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic, Miloš Vystrčil, his deputies, and committee chairs. We are grateful for the support of our European integration. Ukraine is ready to open the first negotiation clusters as part of its EU accession talks. We hope that the unity and determination of EU countries will help make this happen as soon as possible. We discussed durable peace, the need for a full and unconditional 30-day ceasefire, and additional pressure on Russia until lasting silence begins. We are counting on Czechia. Today in Parliament I raised questions about the future of women’s sport following the International Olympic Committee’s recent decision to maintain a sex‑based female category in elite competition. After a two‑year review, the IOC found that biological males retain significant performance advantages in strength, power and endurance — advantages that, according to IOC medical director Jane Thornton, can exceed 100% in some contact and collision sports. The IOC stated that these differences create fairness and safety concerns for female athletes. The document enshrines the multilateral long-term commitments of all 27 EU member states to provide military, financial, humanitarian, and political assistance to Ukraine. Tomorrow is an important day. We are anticipating a historic conclusion from the European Union—a report on Ukraine's implementation of the European Commission's recommendations. And we are already planning our next steps following this report. Our legislative efforts and the strengthening of state institutions. Ukraine has already come a long way toward stronger ties with the European Union. We are fully aware that EU membership relies on a political decision shared by all EU members that want to see a new state join, but it also relies on the candidate state itself and its work to approximate and adapt EU standards and community norms. Ukraine will join the EU. And we will achieve this, in particular, as a result of our state's internal transformation that is completely consistent with the interests of our people. The EU represents economic security and social stability for Ukraine, and Ukraine represents the strengthening of the entire EU community. And it is critical that the Ukrainian parliament continues to support the legislative efforts required for our European integration.

The EU has already allocated nearly €50 billion in military aid to Ukraine. Five-time US Olympian Katie Uhlaender is leading a growing international protest against Team Canada and the International Bobsled and Skeleton Federation after Canada withdrew four women’s skeleton athletes from the North America Cup in Lake Placid earlier this month.
