“I want all my nodes in Germany.” “I want GDPR compliance across Europe.” “I want to run on 7 Amazon data centers.” Cloud engines on DFINITY Foundation will let you pick exactly where your apps run. And here’s the big unlock: the Internet Computer will run cloud-on-cloud — deploying over Amazon, Google, or both. Your cloud. Your rules.

INTERNET COMPUTER SET TO DEMO "CLOUD ENGINES" DFINITY Foundation prepares to unveil "cloud engines" on May 10, 2026, marking the fifth anniversary of the Internet Computer network. According to the Founder's statement, the protocol will also reveal agentic builds, AI nodes, alongside other new features... The demonstration features a full-stack compute technology, including autonomous agentic builds and dedicated AI nodes designed for decentralized scaling. "This is a very big deal for ICP, cloud and agentic R&D. Engines will be the 1st frontier cloud/compute technology the wild." This launch positions $ICP as a primary infrastructure provider for frontier cloud R&D by enabling machine-to-machine logic at the protocol level. The release aims to transition traditional cloud workloads into a trustless, GPU-backed environment for the next generation of autonomous applications.

INTERNET COMPUTER'S CLOUD ENGINES REPRESENT AN INFLECTION POINT... Founder of Internet Computer (DFINITY Foundation), Dominic Williams (dom | icp), while celebrating the protocol's five-year journey, provided a detailed preview of “Cloud Engines." Cloud Engines is the sovereign frontier cloud technology that the network will soon provide via opencloud(.)org. He stated that Cloud Engines will enable anyone to spin up their own tamperproof sovereign cloud by selecting and configuring nodes within the mathematically secure Internet Computer network. The founder emphasized that the technology is built specifically for the AI era, enabling AI agents to create and update online applications and services without the need for security teams or sysadmins. Additionally, software hosted on Cloud Engines is immune to infrastructure hacks, guaranteed to run as long as sufficient nodes remain operational, and protected by orthogonal persistence in the Motoko language, which automatically detects and prevents “lossy” AI-generated updates. He added that users will soon be able to develop and deploy apps directly from AI platforms such as Claude or Perplexity, with seamless integration through caffeine, while maintaining full tech sovereignty. Cloud Engines allow owners to choose node operators and locations, mix Big Tech instances (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google), add sovereign AI nodes, and scale capacity instantly without downtime or vendor lock-in. In summary, Cloud Engines is an inflection point in the Internet Computer’s history.

The economics of the Internet Computer are changing: Old model: Node providers get paid just for running nodes. New model: 80% of cloud engine revenue goes to the nodes powering it. 20% burns ICP. Node provider associations are already lining up to market cloud engines to enterprises across Europe. Real demand. Real infrastructure.

Your Claude Projects cloud session can now connect to a folder you approve on your computer. The session stays in the cloud and only reaches for that local folder when a task needs it, reading and editing the files in place. Starting to roll out today.

One of the key guarantees of SEV Subnets on the Internet Computer: the node operators running the hardware cannot access your data. Not as a policy commitment. Not via audit. As a technical property of how the subnet works. Björn Tackmann explains what that actually means, and why it changes what you can build on cloud infrastructure. Full interview below.

Anthropic just launched Computer-Use-Agents on Claude Desktop, meaning it can now take control of your entire computer environment. This is huge for businesses and enterprise, except it's limited by the fact that it requires a personal computer. If you deploy it into a virtual machine on Orgo, you can now manage hundreds or thousands of your clients' Claude accounts, setting up their skills, capabilities, connectors, etc, all on their own machines in the cloud on Orgo.

Jev is a new model from the co-inventor of ChatGPT that can use computer tools in realtime right now it's playing Minecraft on its own computer in the cloud on Orgo this is what it looks like with just one Jev, but imagine: what about a thousand? or what about a billion of Jevs? each working together on their own computers in the cloud, discovering new science, running experiments, and designing new drugs 24/7. this is going to be bigger than ChatGPT
