Saudis noted India’s failure to defy US over Chabahar port, analyst says India poured huge resources into Iran’s Chabahar port, including the $500 million announced by PM Modi in 2016. Speaking on the Cineink Podcast London Varta, Dr Ayesha Siddiqa (Senior Fellow in War Studies at King’s College London) put it bluntly: “India made significant investments on Chabahar in Iran, yet when the moment came it was unable to stand up to America diplomatically. That revealed something to Saudi Arabia about the limits of India who could not stand up to the USA.” She is careful to note that the issue is not a lack of concern inside India. Rather, what is emerging is a new medium- to long-term alignment in the region. “Do not forget the background: America is withdrawing. Three years ago, when talk of the Quad was at its height, the narrative was that America and India would stand together against China. Pakistan barely featured. The scenario now taking shape is different.” She added: An alternative security framework is taking shape in the Arab world under a different set of understandings. Whether or not Pakistan ever actually fights a war with Israel or anyone else is almost secondary. The architecture itself is being built. India’s position in this shifting landscape is characteristically complex. It stands with Israel, yet for its energy, connectivity and strategic needs it must still negotiate with Iran and keep channels open with Saudi Arabia. The scale of mutual investment between India and Saudi Arabia is now so large that no one is about to tear up those ties simply because of Pakistan. Riyadh has long supported India’s position on Article 370 and is not about to go to war over Kashmir. Our energy imports continue uninterrupted even as supply chains choke. We are able to ensure easy availability of fuel for our citizens even as countries worldwide struggle to make energy ends meet. We are able to do this because India has diversified its import basket to 41 sources from the basket of 27 that existed in 2014. India not only secured its energy needs, but emerged stronger, more resilient, and better prepared for the future. While many countries struggled with shortages and soaring prices, India protected its citizens because we planned ahead, diversified supply chains, strengthened strategic reserves, expanded sourcing options, and took difficult decisions when required. PM Modi Ji’s vision has never been limited to managing crises. His vision is to use every crisis as an opportunity to build the future. India’s ethanol blending programme has grown from approximately 1.5% to the threshold of a 20% blending economy. Flex-fuel technology is creating new opportunities for consumers and farmers. E85-compatible vehicles will provide more fuel choices, lower operating costs, and reduce dependence on imported crude. At the same time, India is positioning itself at the forefront of the global clean-energy transition. Through the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the country is laying the foundation for a new energy ecosystem that can power industries, create jobs, attract investment, and strengthen energy independence.

Number 2: As you recorded this interview; the same week, in the state of Kerala, a Hindu Journalist Female News Anchor received a barrage of death threats, because all she did was to castigate the views of Kerala's most powerful Maulana who said women belong in their homes. As of today, a case has been registered, not against the political goons of the Political party cadres of the 'Muslim League' but against the Anchor, who is terrified. Also do brush up on the life and 24/7 security that Nupur Sharma lives in since last few years. So what was that worry again about Indian Secularism being in danger? Number 3: Jew hating and Hindu hating Mayor of New York, a performative Muslim identity clown, Mr Mamdani, who calls our Prime Minister a War criminal for Hindu-Muslim riots that took place in 2002, shows us through this statement why he can't be even taken seriously by a 2nd grader in India. Number 4: The Highest Court of Law in India, the Supreme Court did not find the then CM and now PM, Mr Modi guilty of any role in the 2002 Riots(which your clown calls a War). We go by the SC and not your feelings. Number 5: On your next visit to India, remember the security that the state of India will provide for you, is not to protect you from the Hindu Nationalists, but from those who you are forced to wear those glasses, which has one of your eyes covered with a black tinted frame.

YS Jagan demands CBI probe into DSC scam and alleged irregularities in Group 1 Group 1 raked up only to save Lokesh Nara Tadepalli, Aug 20: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has demanded a CBI inquiry into irregularities of DSC 2025 and the alleged APPSC Group 1 exams and affirmed that the Group I issue is being raked up only to cover up the DSC issue. Speaking to media here on Thursday, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said, contrary to the allegations levelled by the coalition, APPSC 2018 exams were conducted in a transparent manner and as per Court directives, giving no room for any misappropriation. On the other hand, the conduct of DSC has been shady right from setting of question paper to the recruitment and the father and son had agreed to the irregularities in Assembly while they did not allow the topic to come up in the Council. Giving a detailed account on the irregularities, he said the setting of question paper and conduct of DSC was given to the same institution which has opened the flood gates for corruption and paper leakage. This is how the outsourcing employee Naveen had access to the question paper and had topped the marks list. Once the issue came into the open, his name was deleted in the second merit list and he moved court stating his details were deleted. In the sports quota, the government has issued two GOs exempting the job aspirants from writing the DSC exam. After the favoured people were taken in, the gates were closed by issuing two more GOs negating the earlier ones. In the process, 372 persons got jobs and the government has put up a meek defence by stating that as we have given a job to PV Sindhu, the same norms apply to others in sports quota, he said. None of the 372 persons recruited have played international tournaments and the one who won a gold medal in Archery in the National Games was denied jobs. There are audio clippings which went viral on the job trading but no action was taken. This is why the DSC needs to be probed by CBI and the Education Minister should resign. To save the skin of Lokesh they have raked up APPSC issue but the fact remains that it was conducted in the most transparent manner. The preliminary exams were held when Chandrababu was the Chief Minister. What we have done is the conduct of final exams to those who passed the preliminary exam. With the coalition raising the Group I issue, the future of 163 high-ranking officials is put in jeopardy. Due to Covid we planned to go for digital evaluation but on court direction we had done it by manual evaluation. It was done in the glare of CCTVs in the APPSC office and in Educational Institutions. It was done in a jumbling method and bar code was used and there is no scope of the evaluator knowing the aspirant. We have brought in reforms in the exam system and the allegation of tampering with the marks does not arise and it is done only to underplay the seriousness of DSC scam from leakage to appointments which deserve CBI inquiry and the resignation of Education Minister. It is the first time SpaceX has shown the site up close, with Elon Musk on the ground in the Gulf Coast marshes of Vermilion Parish, just south of Pecan Island. The message is that SpaceX is ready to build at scale. The company knows how to make rockets, make them fast and fly them thousands of times. As the video put it, "none of that matters if you don't have a place to do it." Louisiana is that place. This was not a quick decision. SpaceX says it spent about seven years searching for a high-rate launch site. There are only a few spots on Earth where you can fly a fully reusable Starship thousands of times a year. This plan has been in the works for a long time. Musk is committed. He went to the site himself and laid out the vision in person. He said the spaceport will bring "10,000 really exciting jobs to Louisiana." The state counts 3,000 of those as direct jobs. At Starbase in Texas, 70 percent of the workforce is local.
