Section 230 is a relic of the early internet. Signed into law in 1996, when “logging on” meant a dial-up connection and social media didn’t exist. It helped the internet grow. But today, it’s helping tear our society apart. In the real world, speech has limits. You can’t threaten violence or spread harm without consequences and you shouldn’t be able to do it online either. Over the past 30 years, the internet has gone from a luxury to a necessity, and social media has turned from an experiment into a massive business. These companies shouldn’t enjoy blanket immunity while their platforms spread threats, violence, and hate. It’s time for Congress to update Section 230 and hold social media companies accountable for keeping dangerous content off their platforms, just like we expect responsibility and accountability everywhere else.

Now all of a sudden, the same people who whine about social media censorship and big tech censorship are bringing criminal cases over social media posts. These snowflakes want to turn a photo of seashells into a criminal case. “86” means get rid of someone. You get 86’d from a bar. You get 86’d from a venue. It does not automatically mean a literal threat. But these snowflake losers—the social media police—want to pretend it does. This should outrage people across the board. The same people crying about censorship are now trying to criminalize speech. It’s loser behavior. Absolute loser behavior. Objectively. And here’s what’s going to happen: this case is going to fall apart. But the losers who brought this case—and the ones cheering it on—are going to be stained by this forever.

People should be free to explore life and make their own choices, but freedom doesn’t cancel accountability. You can be young, curious, and still make decisions that deserve a second thought. The real wisdom is learning before life turns the lesson into a practical exam. Explore if you must. Choose carefully. But never forget: consequences don’t need permission to show up.
