In the beginning that will be very expensive to run, then at some point a lot of the code we have in our apps will be built by AI engineers instead of people engineers. AOC: Trump has been saying the economy is booming, but it’s really only seven tech companies. They’re driving this growth in just one sector: AI. So the entire economic growth can be tracked down to seven companies and their AI expansion. Forty percent of economic growth is attributed to these companies alone, and 80% of stock gains this year came from AI companies. People are justifying these levels of investment because of the promises CEOs make — that there will be a return on that investment. For a company like OpenAI, their valuation is based on the expectation that they’re going to figure out how to make a profit off this, and they haven’t. Generating this increased human dependency that can be mined — people’s deepest fears, emotional content — can all be mined for this empty promise that we’re getting from these companies in the pursuit of profit. The reason I bring all of this up is that the exposure to this industry and this investment, I fear, has reached broad levels of the American economy. We’re talking about 40% of growth being attributed to that sector alone, and it has not turned a profit. We’re talking about a massive economic bubble. Depending on the exposure of that bubble, we could be facing 2008-style threats to economic stability.

For #ToyStory 4, instead of manually creating cobwebs for their Antique Mall environment, Pixar created AI spiders which would weave realistic cobwebs for them like a real spider. You can see the red dots which are the AI spiders as they weave cobwebs in real-time. This allowed the team to quickly and easily add cobwebs to their environments in a realistic manner. Any cobwebs that required interaction with characters were created manually to ensure that they behaved as the animators expected. The AI spiders were created by Hosuk Chang, a Sets Extensions Technical Director at Pixar.

AI is about to make brand characters a MUCH bigger part of performance marketing. Brands can now use the same animated character across every single ad. Same face. Same personality. Same voice. Different concepts every week. Eventually, people won’t just recognize the product. They’ll recognize the character selling it. Think Flo from Progressive or Jake from State Farm… Except now even a small DTC brand can build one. I think the smartest brands are going to create recurring animated characters that audiences see so often, they become synonymous with the brand. This is going to be a massive part of AI advertising. "The one thing that's going to be truly future proof is judgment. What is the biggest challenge when you have a thousand AI engineers writing code? AI slop. In an era when you can do everything, the question is which of these things matter. On the engineer side, it is evaluating the code. Which of this code is even valuable? You can have AI engineers writing beautiful code that could be wrong, that could have bugs in it, that could be vulnerable. Someone needs to review it. Make sure to have a human review at some point, especially critical code that is in the core of your system. On the product side is judgment around what needs to be built and evaluating. And similarly in design, you have to have judgment around, does it make sense in the broader design system. I think this judgment is the number one thing that humans are going to bring in an era of infinite productivity."

the stompers founders have cracked ai video 🤯 all this account does is post walking videos of a woman overlayed with music and a long text judging by the profile picture, i assume this account is ai (but happy to be proven wrong) what's beautiful about this format is that by not showing the face & only short clips of the woman walking, you reduce the likelihood that this is being spotted as ai if you're doing any sort of fitness related app, you need to jump on this format asap

One reason I stay a bit quite about AI these few months. I can’t find my voice to say this right. I’ll try. — What has my AI found just in the millions of never saved TV from the 1980s-1990s? The simple commercial, I have the largest collection known in the world is a reflection of hyper nuanced humanity. Frail and over optimistic as it is, it shows the sprit of humanity in ways that self-hating 2010 Internet sewage training AI can not. It is interesting to have dark humor, when you know the soul of the person with the humor. It is not interesting to have dark humor from an AI that was not trained on the human spirit. The human sprit is not math, coding and science. This is the OUTCOME of a human sprit. We are training AI backwards and we just can’t see it yet, but we will. I am doing may best as “some posted on X” who has no currency in the “big boy” AI world to save the human sprit. We will need it one day and most of this training material is being erased, trillions of bytes daily. This is the secret to truthful AI. This is the secret to AI that LOVES humanity. We don’t get this right soon, there will be little chance. The data is… Almost gone.
