'The issue isn't weight, it's about making places more accessible so plus-size people feel seen' 'My husband has to pay extra as he's 6'5" and can't fit in his seat' Should plus-size people pay extra for bigger seats?

There's a much simpler way. Lay off the refined sugar, eat a balanced nutritious diet, get some exercise and you'll notice an improvement in all aspects of your life. Then you wont have to try and feel victimised about being fat.

I love how everyones answers relate to food. In six foot four and have often had to travel on long haul flights with my knees in someones back because the space between seats are so small. God forbid you have to sit at the back where the distance is even more narrow.

Absolutely. Their life choices shouldn’t guarantee them extra benefits of which others would normally have to pay for.

The real issue here is lost. The seat size are a disgrace for anyone. We’re squashed in like cattle, with only the young, short and very slim having any chance of comfort. Why do we put up with this poor service!

I don't think it's the issue of plus size people not being 'seen'.. (Really bad choice of words).. But I do think there's a issue when you have to sit next to someone, who spills over onto your seat. Perhaps make bigger seats and charge accordingly for them? 🤔

Nah girl, you either drop the surplus of weight or pay extra.

People today just want to be bailed out for their bad decisions instead of taking accountability. Tackling obesity should be a national priority since the impact on health services alone is huge. (£6b a year)

Honestly, this is another compelling reason for more high-speed rail and rapid transit in the US.

You pay more for luggage that weighs too much 🤷🏻‍♀️ How about each person & their luggage has to be a maximum weight and anything over is chargeable? Let’s face it, no one wants to be that person sat next to a large person with their body hanging over on to you 🫣
