'The Karate Kid Part II' is when the relationship between Miyagi and Daniel starts to get a little weird 😂

@BillSimmons and @KyleBrandt are a pair of degenerate dumb@$$es. Mr. Miyagi and Daniel are like father and son, that’s why they’re so close. These two creeps trying to twist it into something perverse is really gross and pathetic.

This is a horrible take. Miyagi was the father Daniel never got to have and Daniel is the son Miyagi never had. The entire movie is about this. Go watch the scene when Miyagis dad dies again.

He’s 18 and in a transitional period of his life. By this point, Daniel sees Miyagi as the father he never had. If your first instinct is to sexualize that dynamic, you’re projecting something onto the film that simply isn’t there.

Bill constantly calling it “KK” was a choice. It’s not going to happen Bill. No one calls it that.

@BillSimmons Just my opinion - but if you grew up w a family then you don’t understand the character. He didn’t have a pop and his mom was a single lady in the story. You grow up wout ur pops is undeniably hard so I definitely understand the connection he has with Miyagi.

Horrible take. Daniel met Kumiko by following his sensai on that trip. Miyagi was a fatherfigure 2 him that gave him lifelong lessons that Daniel demonstrated even in the CobraKai show. Miyagi turned DL into All Valley Champ, which made Miyagi an icon for him

You're both being weird lol Daniel didn't have a dad. Yeah some of that attachment that you'd have with your male guidance figure would wear off by then. But that's if you had a dad from the start. You underestimate how much impact adult male guidance has when you never had it

Remake idea: Daniel-san is Kon Knueppel and Bill is flying back on Christmas Day to bail Dr. Bill out of jail for attacking Mazulla courtside because he didn’t call a time out fast enough when the 76ers went on a 17-0 run.
