The Kitty Cat Dance - Steve Ibsen (2007)

god i miss when the internet was simple and full of simple yet charming videos like these instead of ai slop and other shit

This is older than 2007. I saw this originally in middle school somewhere around 2002/3ish

This was not made in 2007. Thats just not true. I saw this shit on back in 2003

I was there for this

@ArtDuggy When I hear people say “I don’t watch tv i just watch YouTube” this is what I assume they mean

While the cat is gone, his memory lives on.

TAKE ME BACK TO SIMPLER TIMES LIKE THIS

Did anyone else go to the site Albino Black Sheep back then in the 2000s?? It was a bunch of flash videos. Funny stuff and weird stuff like salad fingers. Our school didn’t have it on the block list so we’d watch videos in the computer lab lol I miss those days so much.

Definitely before 2007. Saw this in 2005 when my gf at the time had it on her Xanga page.

Fun fact: I actually met this guy and his cat randomly. He had a cover band, and I auditioned as the second singer in response to a Craigslist ad (2004?). Those were the ebaumsworld days iirc.

i miss how simple memes were back in the day

2007??? i was watching this on before youtube even existed. fucking zoomers

One of my many vocal stims at least once a week

My husband makes our cats dance to this all the time. & once he changed "kitty" to "peanut" because our cat is very tiny even though she's full grown. He sang, "I'm a peanut cat. And I pea, pea, pea. And I nut, nut, nut." He immediately regretted his altered lyrics.

Damn

This lives rent free in my head.

Cant believe its been almost 20 years, i want to go back to these times

AI is ass we must go back

I have memories sitting in front of the computer watching this with my friends in elementary school. We would watch it over and over dying of laughter. Those were the days 25 years ago lol

Legendary pull

Man, why can't the internet have funny and cute memes like that anymore?

@KizKatinsky Simpler times 🥲

@CursedCassette the kitty cat dance! I thought it was lost to the internet.

@Solar_F It is 22 years old, from 2004, here is the AMA on reddit by the creator (including responses about the cat and lyrics.)

The first video I ever saw on Youtube.

a classic

@BadwickS

This is the first meme to break containment to my mom lol. She would move our cat's arms and sing it to her

This is at least 2003-4

I LOVED THIS VIDEO AS KID OMGG

Imagine if we all go extinct and this is the only evidence of our existence…
