📢📢Context/Details 📢📢 Svalbard is a Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean, known for its glaciers, frozen tundra, and the Svalbard Global Seed Vault. Longyearbyen, its main settlement, supports scientific research and tourism. The sun doesn’t rise in Svalbard during winter (late October to mid-February) due to its Arctic Circle location. The Earth's axial tilt causes the North Pole to face away from the sun, leading to continuous darkness. In summer, Svalbard experiences the Midnight Sun, with 24-hour daylight. This extreme light and dark cycle is a unique aspect of life in high Arctic regions. 📣 hope this was informative 📣

The sun literally doesn't rise for certain parts of the year. They get no sunlight for 4 months a year. The sun sets for the last time in October and is not rising again until mid-February.
