The language in this much-shared piece is Lango, spoken by Uganda’s Langi people. The song is called Waloyo Yamoni, which means "we overcome the wind". Performed by Jimmer Bolden and composed by Christopher Tin, it’s from the classical album “The Drop That Contained The Sea’.

The composer says the album is about a droplet of water moving from snow to a mountain stream to the ocean and back to the clouds — performed in 10 languages. Most of the lyrics are taken from old texts & in the case of Waloyo Yamoni, it is an old Lango rainmaking prayer.
