The monopoly that the Big Four meat processing companies (Cargill, JBS, Tyson and National Beef) have on the market is a HUGE reason why beef prices are so high. Breaking up this monopoly is one of the most effective ways we can lower beef prices and this decision will help not only ranchers, but Americans in the long term. Positive news out of the admin, especially after last week’s decision to import 300,000 metric tons of foreign beef.
