This is the first time I have done this work. I have tried to record the spirit of the times through the characters and symbols of the NFT community. Due to the limitations of time, equipment and my own ability, I have not been able to include all the talented artists and other wonderful communities in this work. However, in "The Last Game", each character has a special meaning – no one is redundant. Each person tells a separate story, and between them there are always invisible connections, creating a vivid and inspiring picture. 🫂 This is an opportunity to own a piece of web3 cultural history. A reflection of the journey we have been on. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it. Thank you all for joining me on this journey! 🧡✨

We are excited to announce the next phase of MONOLITH Gallery. It will now include a highly curated set of artwork from Chikai Ohazama’s (Chikai) private collection. We have completely redone the website to highlight this new curation and invite you to visit it now. When we first started MONOLITH, it was focused on bringing more visibility to more artists through an innovative exhibition format. Then we were among the first to push forward curation in the Web3 art space being launch partners for SuperRare Spaces, NiftyGateway Publishers, and Foundation Worlds. As this space has evolved and also endured, we think now is a good time to reflect upon the value of what has been collected and not just the latest acquisitions. We are doing this by turning the lens upon ourselves and looking at what our founder Chikai has collected and moving them into a new MONOLITH vault to recognize those special pieces and artists. There are 30 artists that have been selected to be part of the inaugural set of works to enter the MONOLITH collection and they are featured on our website with a personal quote from Chikai about each artist. We will be highlighting each artist in the coming weeks and we will be adding more over time. The selection process looks not only at the artist and their body of work, but whether we have acquired a notable set of works from them. It could be just one piece or it could be several pieces, but what’s most important is how unique and notable those pieces are within their body of work. The gallery portion of MONOLITH will be on hiatus until we find the right time and opportunity to resume exhibitions and selling artworks. In the meantime, we will be documenting our previous exhibitions and successes on the website to give people context on what we have accomplished as a gallery. Africa is a continent bursting with vibrant rhythms, soulful melodies, and unparalleled creativity. Our artists, producers, songwriter, and innovators are crafting sounds that resonate across borders yet, despite owning the art and the culture, we often find ourselves fighting for space in the global market. Why? Because we don’t fully own or control the platforms that showcase our music. We lack the infrastructure, the investment, and the unified voice needed to truly capitalize on our rich heritage. The biggest challenge isn’t just about competing it’s about collaboration. We need to shift our mindset from scarcity to abundance. Instead of fighting for limited space, we should be working together as Africans to build our own streaming platforms, protect our rights, and invest in our craft. When we own the channels, we own the narrative. When we tell our story, it’s authentic, powerful, and unmistakably African. Our originality and roots are our greatest assets. We must celebrate and preserve our unique arts, culture, and languages. Let’s encourage each other to stay true to our identity, because no one else can tell our story the way we must and know it. And when we got hungry, we'd eat together too. 👤: So then, SEVENTEEN members would work together because they're people who genuinely love dance? 🕺🏻: Yes, yes, we'd come up with ideas together, and when the choreography isn't coming out right nobody would go home [and just keep on working on it together]. What's so admirable and touching about this is that usually it's hard for artists to be like that. Usually the company makes it work through thorough management system. But these guys, woah I really can feel the energy that they really love dancing as much as I do. I think they're able to endure all that time and effort because they love dancing that much. Back then, trying to gather 13 dancers and work separately required a lot of effort, time, and money. But SEVENTEEN were the ones who did it for me. And there's something about it. When SEVENTEEN work on it directly, I can picture the stage, people's reactions, the company's confidence, and all sort of things come to mind when they're actually on stage. Because of that, the precision becomes incredibly high. There's a huge difference in the final result between creating choreographies with dancer stand ins and creating it with the original artist, and SEVENTEEN were the ones who carried that through.
