i feel like i'd forget so many files as they wouldn't show in `git status`

"git add ." crew! this would solve nothing

Just create a global gitignore

I use “gi node > .gitignore” 🤣

Great. Now we have put each files in the .gitignore file as well as CMakeLists.txt file; and on top of that we have other tools that require magical directory info in them like .clangd and .clang and what not.

But the gitignore is ignored

As a control freak, I love this.
