True to his reputation, Cruise performed most of his own stunts. During the horseback battle scenes, he narrowly avoided being crushed when a mechanical horse malfunctioned, managing to step aside just in time.

It shows a black immigrant from Ghana who speaks about being a victim of racism by Japanese kindergarteners & he responded by putting powder over himself in the hopes of becoming white. Many Japanese who watched this as kids sympathised with the black man but many are now saying what about black racism against East Asians?. I think this shows a growing shift away from liberalism we adopted from the West.
