Not entirely, at least according to the "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam 1/2 UC 0087: Another Story" manga, it was recovered by the federation and at least 52% of it's parts were used to build the Half Gundam, a unit used by the Titans to test the performance of the Mk. II in combat

@Ransac16 I thought the 1/2 Gundam was like a recreation of the RX-78-2 entirely on their own? Given Aboa-Qu later on blew up and all that lol. Also @GBO2EN How about you guys PUT THIS in the game? It would be a neat and better RX-78 Gundam in game lol.

@Ransac16 @GBO2EN Went to check the manga and it explicitly says that 52% of it's parts come from the OG, that's why it's called half, even if it doesn't exactly says that those were recovered from A Baoa Qu, also, it was active before the events from Zeta started, so, before Haman blew abq up

There's something so sad about watching the indomitable Gundam reduced to being a decoy to draw fire from the Big Zam. Thematically and emotionally, it's the right choice, but just look at how they massacred my boy

The last 9 or 10 episodes of the original Gundam run are still some of my favorite Gundam media in general
