I hope that we will not see a major escalation of the war in the Middle East through direct U.S. involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict. President Trump has repeatedly said he wants to be a president of peace — and so far, he’s been one of the very few American presidents in recent history not to start a war. He has also shown deep skepticism toward the so-called U.S. deep state and has made a serious effort to shield himself from its influence. But if he chooses to enter a new war, he will inevitably open the doors of the Oval Office to it — for many hours every day. That would mark a turning point of his presidency.

What that fund really is, is the new security architecture for Iran. When you look through the terms of this MOU, what it does is it removes all sanctions against Iran. It allows Iran to open up its markets to other countries in the Middle East in ways that it wasn't able to before. And it encourages other countries in the Middle East and other countries across the world to make major investments in Iran. The Trump regime went from saying, "We want regime change in Iran," to "Now Iran is a major global power," and Iran is going to be wielding a massive amount of economic influence.

Ted Cruz says President Trump has drawn a clear red line with Iran, zero enrichment and no blackmail in the Strait of Hormuz, warning any violation will bring serious consequences: “Now there is a pause in hostilities, and President Trump is absolutely right when he says what he expects of Iran is, number one, zero enrichment, and number two, that they hand over the enriched uranium they have right now. President Trump is right to draw that line and to insist upon that.
