The launch mount at Pad-2 has started to receive more hold down clamp arms. 4 were pre-installed at Sanchez. 2 more have been lifted over night, with this being the 2nd that needed some rigging adjustment before a 2nd attempt.

#SpaceX is preparing to move the massive new #Starship launch mount structure for #Starbase Pad B to the launch site for installation. In this post, I’ll give an overview of the design and use my 3D models to calculate the structure’s mass in its current configuration. This new launch mount, nearly an entire redesign, is SpaceX’s best effort at correcting many of the issues discovered with the mount at Pad A after a handful of launches. The only similarity between this mount and the original launch mount for Pad A is that 20 arms will still be used to support the #SuperHeavy booster before liftoff. However, the arms and everything else making up the structure are entirely different.

This evening's full deluge test from Pad 2 filmed in 120fps. Interesting note: the hold down clamp doors on the launch mount were still open at the time of top deck activation. Either that lets us know the booster will still be firmly in place upon activation or this was unique to this test in particular as they have remained closed for most, if not all other tests involving the top deck. 📸 - NSF - NASASpaceflight.com 📺 -

With the door to Mega Bay 2 open this morning, NSF - NASASpaceflight.com's camera was able to spot a Ship QD plate being lifted out, we will have to keep watching to see if this is part of the work for Pad B or as part of the ship static fire modifications at Pad A

Major Incident is Unfolding in Leeds This Evening as Police Car Overturned During Serious Disorder At 5pm today (Thursday), police were called to an ongoing disturbance at an address in Luxor Street, Harehills, #Leeds. Officers attended and found an ongoing disturbance which involved some agency workers and some children. More people started to attend the location and a decision was made to remove the agency workers and the children to a safe place. A crowd started to gather and more officers were requested to attend the area, where some pockets of disorder were occurring. More officers have been deployed to the area to assist with the management of this incident. Some road closures are also being implemented and people are advised to avoid the area at this time. No injuries have been reported and enquiries are ongoing at the scene.

My friend had a crazy view of the Leonid Meteor showers last night, but we're a little perplexed by a few things, looking for some insight! 1. They mostly were in one small region of the sky, I feel like meteors are normally more all over 2. No tails 3. Slower than most meteors 4. Obviously aliens (jk) Some additional details: 1. This was at 42.5 degrees North at a.m. (over 3 hours before sunrise, so not Starlink) 2. Camera is facing due east, so when they fade out they're fading into the direction of the sun 3. Video has been cropped in and shadows reduced / highlights increased to make it more obvious. There were a few strays outside of that small region, but the over whelming majority of them were in that exact specific patch of sky 4. First 2 minutes is at 10X speed (labeled in bottom left), then it's in realtime
