The Leaf Blower Hover Car is a science demonstration at this middle school. …I wonder if this can scale with 4-8 Leaf Blowers floating down the street? Be a good 13 minute ride?

Built this in middle school with my dad. Two leafblowers and a lawn chair and my 100lbs body were sufficient to go down a road. The real missing piece is a fire extinguisher to get directional propulsion.

glad to see these from my childhood finally coming to reality. i actually considered buying one of these a long time ago.

knows, as does every automotive engineer, that below about 50mph the primary resistive energy loss is rolling resistance. Setting that to 1/20 would be pretty good for mileage and would move the primary challenge from being about friction to being about braking and recovery.

With some minor safety modifications you could have "Bumper Blowers"...LOL

This looks like an excellent homeschool project.

Oh damn! This experiment is simply amazing to do at that age! In my school in Italy we did not have any experiment; we had some excursion and "study" trees and stone.

It requires an absolutely flat surface. Doesn’t work on asphalt. I built one in my youth, a lot of fun at the skate park and in the garage

Back in my day you had to use your feet.

They are literally flying in a school gym. How cool.

They’ve should’ve used the second one as a propellant.
