We begin the video with an explanation of the Lightning Network. You will learn: - What a second layer is. - Why we need second layers. - What a payment channel is.

After that, we use our @umbrel node to set up the Lightning node. For this tutorial, we use LND, as most applications we want to use later only work on LND. I also show you how to change the name (alias) of your node.

Once the Lightning Node is operational, we use @RTL_App to open payment channels. I'll guide you on how to open a payment channel, track its status via @mempool, and find reliable peers using @ambosstech.

Balancing payment channels can be quite challenging. Let me show you my favorite method: using subatomic swaps on @Boltzhq.

A Lightning Node is fun, but it's only useful if you can use it on the go. I will show you how to use @Tailscale to set up my favorite Lightning wallet: @ZeusLN.
