@KonstantinKisin Casual Solzhenitsyn quote lift there....

@roddreher @KonstantinKisin Absolutely love the Solzhenitsyn reference.

@KonstantinKisin Applied to government, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Reminds me of Reagan's line about the most terrifying words in the English language: "I'm from the government and I'm here to help."

@KonstantinKisin Old Queen Street blues

@KonstantinKisin Great point—so true. @DavidRobinX84 and I were just talking about how easy it is to judge others without seeing that same potential in ourselves. Really makes you think.

He is paraphrasing Alexander Solzhenitsyn, who said in full: “The line separating good and evil passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either -- but right through every human heart -- and through all human hearts. This line shifts. Inside us, it oscillates with the years. And even within hearts overwhelmed by evil, one small bridgehead of good is retained.”

@KonstantinKisin Funny how Konnie keeps avoiding the glaringly obvious fact that in order for a nation not to descend into totalitarianism, it needs a moral foundation i.e. a religion.
