The lines between code & content are blurring. I made this 3d city block animation in claude 3.7. Then I used runway gen-3's video-to-video to style it like a lego city at night. At the rate things are going, this'll be a shader running in real-time.

I made a stream overlay that looks like a flipbook, so it looks like chat is animating me in real-time. Similar to a sketched drawing come to life on top of an animation table. They can flip the pages on the screen to look at the in-between frames.

Three years ago, I came to Tallinn from Odessa. In this video, I'm 10 years old. These are my first days in Tallinn. At the time, we didn't have a place to live, so we spent a couple of nights in a refugee center. We were looking for a place to live and, at the same time, getting to know this beautiful city. A while ago, I visited a city that I haven't been able to forget. It was so quickly and I bought several paintings there. It's called Yogyakarta, in Indonesia. I was in the city center at night, walking through streets full of art galleries and with a very charming atmosphere. Today, I found this short video of that street, and the song is beautiful.

I'm seeing a lot of people saying it is just a bad upscaling instead of Gen AI, but it is indeed Gen AI animation. There are things going on in it that just don't make any sense for puppet animation. Here are some parts that make it clear, I slowed down the video so it's easier to notice the chunky parts. I checked the past ADs and it's possible to notice details (from an animator's POV) that are common and make sense for human work, so it was definitely a choice to use AI on this new AD

Comparing AI video results: • Gen-3 • Kling AI 1.5 • Hailuo MiniMax • Luma Dream Machine I used a FLUX1.1 [pro] image as the input. Each model ran the same prompt 3 times, and I chose the best results: "Smooth side tracking shot of a woman jogging at twilight with the city skyline in the background, sharp focus on the woman as she pumps her arms with each stride as she jogs, depth of field, advertising commercial" Running, jogging, and walking are difficult for AI video models, and none of them produced a smooth result, but this is the worst they will be.

So remember that time machine I told you about? I managed to sneek out another video from my visit to the future.. this time I captured video of a 3d artist creating assets for a short commercial. They sculpted the bird in the video with nothing but two controllers which they used to manipulate generative matter in 3d. The AI model changed in realtime and adopted their style of work, both based on the work they did on the scene, and on reference images they gave the system. Seeing the 3d model transform in realtime as they were working on it was incredible. When it started moving and reacted to their instructions, I knew it was time to return to the present :D #art #ai
