The $LOAD fair launch is now live on the Permaweb Index! Anyone can delegate stake to earn $LOAD - the native token of Load Network. Today we reveal the tokenomics and utility of the $LOAD token, and how the fair launch works:

$LOAD has a hard cap of 10,000,000 tokens. This pays for network security, transaction fees, and ecosystem growth. 60% of the supply is allocated to the community, meaning wide distribution, no vesting period, and broad governance capability.

$LOAD’s fair launch curve follows the same emission schedule as Bitcoin and AO, with a gradual curve off rather than a sharp halving event every 4 years. The reward rate decreases by a factor of 0.999526 daily for a 0.0474% daily reduction – long-tail issuance.

In Load Network, 100% of EIP-1559 base fees are captured by a treasury controlled by a DAO with the power to vote on validator rewards. This flexibility bakes in decentralization and ability to evolve, from day one of mainnet. The treasury can also fund ecosystem grants, public goods, and user incentives.

On the road to mainnet, Load Network will focus on full @aoTheComputer interoperability, bringing every component of the EVM inside HyperBEAM. We are already on this path, with EVM execution and light client devices live now (
