The MAIN difference between Kobe and LeBron is their mental strength. Kobe NEVER made excuses and would push himself to train harder. LeBron is the better overall player but I wonder if Bron had Kobe’s mentality how much MORE he could have accomplished 🤔

Kobe blamed all his teammates, constantly. Didn’t even talk to key guys. Lebron stands in front of the press and takes arrows for teammates. Guess which one is real leadership…

If he was the better overall player he would need less help to be successful. He's just a more willing passer but he has to because his bag isn't as advanced individually as Kobe's and he is physically stronger so he is a better driver to the basket but that's about it.

This why i have kobe above lebron. Lebron is physically stronger and more athletic, but kobe basketball skills and mentality is what made him great.

It's kind of hard to quantify the biggest difference between Bron and Kobe. I'd say skill is probably a bigger difference than mentality but mentality is definitely a big one. Sure, you can bring up box score and advanced stats to say that LeBron used his skill to put more total and career per game points on the board along with the other box score stats but Bron was the offense where Kobe mostly played in a system. Even when it was just a Kobe leaning system, 06 & 07 he averaged a combined 33.5 ppg and 5 assists a game to players like Smush Parker and Kwame Brown. No good catch and shoot, no 3 & D, or even a good center. And that still wasn't in a LeBron, Luka, Harden type offense. Kobe never really played that brand of ball and there's a big difference in the stats you can accumulate like that. Now Kobe was doing the above with no spacing because the defense wasn't really scared of anybody else. Imagine what he does running the show and opposing defenses having to worry about Wade and Bosh or Love and Irving. Kobe showed you in the Olympics that he wasn't as worried about stats nearly as much as he was worried about winning. For some of you that's hard to grasp, I know. You can call them excuses if you'd like but they led to the most important results:

I think if Kobe was in the weak East for 15 years where 70% of all the all nba players were in the other conference he could inflate his playoff stats, make it to more finals and no one would say Lebron is the better overall player. To me, Lebron is better than Kobe. But it’s close.

If basketball is an individual sports, then there's a case Lebron could be the #2 or #3 all time. But even in one on one, Beasley always beat Lebron. What more with Kobe Bryant. No chance Lebron can beat Kobe in one on one. That is Kobe's game. Another L for Lebron here. 😂

He isn't the better overall player. Passing and finishing are his best skills. He just more versatile because of his superior length and size.
