@JesseBlake Does the salary cap not exist in this hypothetical scenario? Cause how do the Leafs fit Rantanen's $9.25m cap hit?

@JesseBlake would only be about 4M at that point of season. Lots of ways to make that work

Keep an eye on the season. 👀 Introducing our latest feature: the standings. Now you can see live on your server which team is how in the league compared to other teams.

@JesseBlake This guys spend too much time making fantasy deals and not considering cal. Knies doesn’t land Rantanen would have required a lot more. Then how does the money work? Rantanen makes $8m more than Knies. Fantasy vs reality. Do people actually listen to these guys?

@JesseBlake You mean Jesse explains his opinion why.... does Mikko over Knies change the results of g5 and g7? Probably not....

@JesseBlake You dont think having Rantanen in their top 6 instead of Knies would have helped them in the series?

@JesseBlake Peak-revisionist podcast take. What were these dudes saying a few months ago?

@JesseBlake End of the day, Leafs offered multiple packages to Carolina, but Canes are the ones who walked away, not wanting to potentially face him in the ECF. Of course Tre said no to moving Knies, you guys are nuts for even considering it was a mistake. Glad you’re not running a team.

@JesseBlake Terrible take.

@JesseBlake Classic Treliving too scared to pull the trigger for the big fish

@JesseBlake Nope. It would’ve been cup or bust than this year. Marner would still walk than you’d only have Rantanen, 34 and 88. And now no depth again and paying 3 guys over 10 mil which is the issue. Keeping knies & lettjng 16 walk you get knies and 2 top 6 guys with remaining $.
