The Mark Vientos experience needs to end. Genuinely.

Vientos is and always has been a 6th or 7th hitter. Instead of leaving him there, Mendoza keeps him at 3 or 4 where free swinging guess hitters go to get exposed. On the Braves, he might even hit 8th, where they only appreciate the good he does because they understand baseball.

Ageed...his fielding is worse than Alonso. I didn't think it was possible. However, after watching Vientos at 3B the last few years, I feel he is more a lazy fielder that makes him bad. At least Alonso worked hard at getting better. Vientos is a waste of physical ability.

Vientos is in his fifth rookie season, give it some time.

The worst type of player is the player who thinks he's good when he's not. His strike zone is the universe, he's a pitcher's best friend.

He predetermines whether he is swinging or taking and usually swings first pitch. Now, pitchers are just throwing crap pitches to get him in an 0-1 hole.

The shave of it is, he's playing a pretty good first base, really improved significantly. But no plate discipline. I got so worked up after the 5-1 road trip, thought "this is it", then the rip my heart out, lol.
