Making cherubs vat-grown is the biggest cope-out made by GW. The imperium would DEF lobotomize babies if their parents were evil enough. Hell, they may even see it as something good for the baby's soul or something

actually, i dont think lobotomization is needed, the frontal lobe of a new born isn't that developed, the only thing you have to do is put some usb stuff and wires into their brain and you've got your self a servitor ready to go

Honestly I'd be a cherub. I dont see why it's a bad fate. I wouldn't mind being a fat little baby chilling and following a schizophrenic toaster worshipper around.
