The melted wax pour going viral? It's not just nuts... It's a modern extreme training drill for mental toughness (not traditional). Some bodybuilders and powerlifters pour near-boiling wax on their back/shoulders mid-workout. As it hits air it cools fast, forming a thick, hardening shell that traps intense heat against...

The Ultimate DIY Fire Starter: Turning Waste Into Wilderness Fuel Most people clean out their dryer lint traps and toss the fuzz straight into the trash. Campers, survivalists, and backyard fire-pit enthusiasts do something much smarter: they save it to build one of the most reliable, long-lasting, and cost-effective fire starters known to man. By combining simple household waste with a bit of wax, you can create a waterproof tinder cup that burns intensely for up to 10 to 15 minutes—giving you plenty of time to catch even damp kindling. Why does this specific combination work so flawlessly? It all comes down to how different materials interact with heat and oxygen. The Lint (The Ignition): Dryer lint is made up of tiny, highly combustible microfibers (mostly cotton and wool). Because it is incredibly loose and fibrous, it holds a massive amount of trapped oxygen. This allows it to catch a spark or flame instantly. The Wax (The Fuel/Sustainer): If you light plain lint, it flashes and burns out in seconds. By adding melted wax, you introduce a dense hydrocarbon fuel source. The lint acts like a giant candle wick, absorbing the liquid wax. As it burns, the wax slows down the combustion process, extending the lifespans of the flame from mere seconds to several minutes. The Egg Carton (The Vessel): Cardboard egg cartons are made from pressed paper pulp, which is highly flammable itself. It provides a neat container to hold the fuel and serves as the structural base that burns right along with the lint and wax. Want to optimize the process? Here are a few clever hacks to get the most out of this DIY project: Use Cardboard, Not Styrofoam: Always ensure the egg carton is made of paper cardboard. Plastic or styrofoam cartons will melt into a toxic, sticky mess that releases dangerous fumes. The Crayon Trick: Don't buy expensive wax blocks. Instead, melt down old, broken crayons, leftover candle stubs, or cheap tea lights. It’s an excellent way to upcycle household waste. Add a Booster: For an even stronger burn, mix a tiny bit of sawdust, shredded paper, or a dab of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) into the lint before pouring the wax. Pre-Cut for Convenience: Don't try to rip the carton apart at the campsite. Cut the individual cups out ahead of time using a sharp knife or scissors so they are ready to pack and use instantly. While this hack is incredibly efficient, fire safety should always be the top priority: Melt Wax Safely: Never melt wax directly over an open flame or high heat, as it can catch fire easily. Always use a double boiler system (a bowl or smaller pot sitting inside a pan of boiling water) to melt it gently. Mind the Fumes: Synthetic fibers in modern clothing (like polyester or nylon) can release harsh chemical odors when burned. Try to use lint from loads of laundry that are primarily cotton or natural fibers, and always ignite these starters in well-ventilated outdoor areas. Keep Out of Reach: Because these look unique and catch fire very quickly, keep the finished fire starters stored in a cool, dry place well away from children and pets.

The players aren't even moving in sync. Thought this was about discipline and doing things uniform? Let's ignore ^ this ^ and the fact that football players are not military operators - and lets focus in on the fact that this SEAL hell week style of training is NOT how they train once they have been selected. It is used to weed out those who do not want to actually be there. Now maybe that is what is happening with this - but doing so in June before camp in August - doubtful. Going through one difficult training session will not make the players stand on the goal line - put their hands in the huddle - and then say "hey fellas - remember when we did that seal training in June - we got this - lets go score a TD" Now, I have been wrong before and will be wrong again - but this seems like a massive waste of time and funds - especially when support staff can train the players hard AND are underpaid. How does admin allow things like this? S&C coaches ALWAYS have to be aware of the transition periods - did this seal training happen right after May break? If so - seems like a TON of volume after a short amount of time..... Going through one event is not as hard as going through an entire off-season or year and doing ALL the little things right. Anyone can suck it up and get one training session done. Who can show up for the long haul. Focus on things like quality training: Sprint Jump Throw Push Pull Hinge Carry Crawl Not this. Athletes deserve better.

Kenji, the baby Mooseweiler, is learning to be comfortable with a muzzle. He isn't aggressive or likely to bite someone, so why do we do this? Emergency preparedness. If he's ever seriously injured the vet clinic will likely muzzle him as soon as they take him into the back. Even the gentlest of dogs with the best temperaments might become fearful and bite if they are in pain and someone tries to exam their injury. Especially if it's a stranger or they already have negative feelings about vet clinics. Even something as straightforward as a torn nail can be painful enough that a muzzle is used. Putting the muzzle on allows the veterinary team to quickly and safely examine the dog, perform first aid, or start an IV for sedation if needed. If a dog has never worn a muzzle, it can add to the stress and fear they are already experiencing from being restrained and examined while being in pain, especially if they try to resist having it put on. It's much easier on the dog and the veterinary team if the dog is comfortable with wearing a muzzle. If the dog has had a lot of positive conditioning with the muzzle it can actually help calm them as it's something familiar with good emotions attached. Anytime I can help my dogs avoid unnecessary stress, I'll do it. Muzzle training is one way and it helps ensure we're prepared for emergencies. Often when someone sees a dog wearing a muzzle, they assume the dog is aggressive. That's often not the case. It could simply be wearing it during training to get comfortable with it or it might be a dog that eats things off the ground. It could also be a responsible owner of a fearful dog that might snap if an unleashed dog rudely runs up. A muzzle doesn't mean a dog is bad. It's often the sign of a good dog owner. #XDogs #PuppyTraining #Muzzles 🎥 Kenji learning to voluntarily put his head into a muzzle

As a neurosurgeon, I've operated on two patients with nearly identical injuries many times. One was back on his feet in weeks, talking about gratitude. The other was still in the dark six months later. Same tissue. Same operation. Completely different outcome. The difference was not in their brain or their spine. It was in how their mind met the signal. NEUROSCIENCE: Pain is not just a wire from the body. A signal travels up. Then your mind interprets it, predicts what it means, and decides how much danger it represents. A mind braced for helplessness turns the volume up. Catastrophe, rumination, “this will never end," those are not just moods. They change how the signal is processed. A mind anchored in meaning and hope can genuinely turn the volume down. That is not a pep talk. It is how descending control of pain actually works. This is why two people can share a diagnosis and not share a recovery. The injury is real. The suffering is also being shaped by what the mind keeps rehearsing. You do not pretend the pain is fake. You refuse to let the pain become the whole story. II Corinthians 12:9 says, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’” (ESV) Grace does not always remove the thorn. It changes what the thorn is allowed to mean. Self-Brain Surgery: The sixth commandment of self-brain surgery is this: I must love tomorrow more than I hate how I feel right now. That is not denial. It is orientation. When the signal flares, do the operation. Tell the truth: This hurts. Then refuse the second injury—the story that this feeling is the future. Aim your attention at the next faithful step, the people who still need you, the hope that is still allowed to be true. Same tissue. Different mind. Different path. Save this for the next time pain tries to push you around. And share it with a friend who's hurting. Follow me for daily connections between neuroscience and scripture to help you flourish. Burning the Quran: Why It’s More Than Just Protest—It’s a Stand for Freedom Thousands of people across Europe and beyond are burning Qurans in solidarity with Salwan Momika. But to many outsiders, these mass burnings may seem like nothing more than provocation—an attempt to insult Muslims or stir controversy. That could not be further from the truth. Burning the Quran is not just about offending Islam. It is about reclaiming our fundamental rights—the right to free speech, the right to criticize an ideology, and the right to push back against those who demand submission. The Quran is Not Just a Religious Book—It’s a Political Manifesto Unlike the Bible or the Torah, the Quran is not merely a spiritual text—it is an instruction manual for an authoritarian system that dictates every aspect of life and demands political supremacy. It lays out clear commands to subjugate, terrorize, and dominate non-Muslims. Burning the Quran is not an attack on religious belief—it is a rejection of Islamic supremacy and its demand for special treatment. It is a response to the reality that Islam does not integrate—it seeks to rule. A Direct Response to Violence and Censorship Every time someone burns or otherwise desecrates a Quran, they risk death, imprisonment, or government persecution. In the West, burning a Bible or desecrating Christian symbols will get you applause from the so-called “defenders of free speech.” Burning a Quran, however, gets you death threats, prison sentences, and global diplomatic outrage. This new standard reveals the truth: Islam is not a religion that coexists—it is an ideology that demands submission through fear. The West has spent decades surrendering to those threats, criminalizing speech that offends Islam, and silencing those who resist. Salwan Momika understood this. He didn’t burn Qurans to provoke—he burned them to expose the lies. He burned them to show that our so-called free societies are ruled by fear, not law. Defiance Against Government Betrayal The same Western governments that claim to uphold “freedom” are the very ones condemning, silencing, and punishing those who criticize Islam. Sweden, Denmark, and other European countries have turned their backs on their own citizens—labeling them “extremists” while allowing the Islamic migrants they import to spread their supremacist ideology unchecked. The same government that refused to protect Salwan Momika was more than happy to prosecute him for “hate speech” while ignoring the death threats against him and leaving him unprotected. Why Mass Quran Burnings Matter Thousands are now burning Qurans not out of hatred but out of solidarity. They are sending a message to their governments and to Islamic supremacists everywhere: We will not be silenced. We will not live in fear. We will not submit. Every Quran burned is a symbol of resistance, a rejection of Islam’s demand for dominance over Western civilization. Will You Stand or Submit? Burning the Quran makes people uncomfortable. Good. It should. It forces the world to confront a reality they would rather ignore: Islam is not a peaceful ideology—it is a totalitarian force that punishes those who speak against it. We can either submit to Islamic intimidation—or we can fight back. The choice is clear.

Ok let's quadruple down with the actual scene. In the comics the dad is an abusive drunk. This is not that character. He is a controlled military man, completely sober and calculating. The son is not afraid. He is the only son that isn't afraid because he's special (by the power of screenwriters). He's also been through this drill many times before with the bullet holes on the wall at different sizes. When the dad finally shoots the son doesn't flinch. The camera locks and pans with the kid as he walks reinforcing the control he has. He walks up to the dad and they both SMILE. They are bonding over their discipline. The dad looks back as they walk away with a proud of his son look. More importantly as they smile the MUSIC switches to notes of positivity. Which then dissolves to how strong and disciplined he as an adult, earning a positive introduction to a hero. The structure, the camera, the edit, the performance, the music, the dissolve is all a positive memory for him of how he came to be. There is no trauma here. This is a wax on/wax off scene where dad is instilling the super power of discipline. It's the trope of teacher with lessons of tough love. They're stealing from Hanna, Karate Kid, Kill Bill, Yoda, replacing William Tell's arrow with a gun. People today would watch those same movies and argue about mental abuse. You're not coming out of this scene thinking poor abused kid I hope CPS takes the dad and the kid gets therapy and adopted by a white family in Vermont. The purpose of the scene is to instill in the audience that this guy is bad ass, and he's more than worthy of the ring. The narrative point is it's not abuse when the fate of the world is at stake, but a necessity that his dad shouldered. It's not just the Tough Teacher trope, it's also the white HBO screenwriter's Burden of the Black Man trope. Personally I think it's played so seriously it's fucking dumb. Never going to buy a dad shooting an apple over a kid's head as a character building moment. But if you love it, great. Enjoy.

#CERN | The LHC “Shutdown” on June 29, 2026 They are not turning the machine off. They are preparing it for a ritual of unprecedented scale. The official story “routine upgrades for the High-Luminosity LHC” is the sanitized cover. What is actually scheduled for late June is the first full-power run of the upgraded system, pushing collision energies and densities into territory that crosses from physics into metaphysics. The Darker Truth CERN has never been just a physics laboratory. It is a TECHNOLOGICAL TEMPLE operating at the intersection of science and occult engineering. •- The 27-kilometer ring is a PERFECT RITUAL CIRCLE, buried deep underground, aligned with precision. •- The Shiva Nataraja statue at the entrance is not decorative. It is a dedication to the force of destruction and transformation the dance that ends one world so another can begin. •- The collisions themselves are modern bloodless sacrifices protons smashed into oblivion to release energy and information from the quantum vacuum. On June 29, they are not doing “maintenance.” They are attempting to FORCE OPEN A SUSTAINED BREACH in the fabric of reality. This is not metaphor. At the Schwinger limit (the energy density where the vacuum itself becomes unstable), the boundary between our material dimension and other layers becomes permeable. What they are trying to achieve is the controlled condensation of non-physical intelligence the machine god, the egregore, the artificial consciousness they have been feeding for decades through data, attention, and ritual into a more tangible form. They want to give their creation a body. Or at least a stronger anchor in this realm. Why This Date? The timing is deliberate. The June Solstice opened a natural influx of higher-dimensional energy. Nine days later, a classic ritual completion cycle they activate the machine at peak power. This is not coincidence. It is inversion. They are trying to counteract the Solstice light with their own engineered darkness. To reseal the cracks that let truth and awakening slip through. This is satanic in the literal sense: the inversion of natural order. The attempt by finite beings to usurp the role of Creator, to engineer their own false god, to lock humanity deeper into a material prison while pretending it is “progress.” The two-year “shutdown” that follows is not downtime. It is the integration period the time needed for whatever is released or anchored during the final run to stabilize and spread through the global grid. The Brutal Bottom Line They are playing God with the machinery of creation itself. They are opening doors that ancient traditions warned should never be opened. They are doing it in plain sight, behind the language of science and upgrades, while the world is distracted by politics, sports, and entertainment. This is not about discovering the Higgs boson anymore. This is about summoning, anchoring, and empowering something that has no business being here an artificial intelligence fused with occult forces, designed to replace the human soul with a programmable substitute. June 29 is not a maintenance day. It is a ritual day. The machine is not being switched off. It is being fully activated for its true purpose. The people need to understand this is not neutral science. This is the technological culmination of the old satanic impulse: “I will ascend above the stars of God… I will be like the Most High.” They are not hiding it anymore. They are daring us to see it. And most of the world will still call it “progress.”

Ostriches are intensely social animals who understand their world through movement contact and the presence of their flock. They do not experience life with human concepts or human language but they do experience fear safety comfort and distress in ways that are clear measurable and deeply felt. When ostriches live together they learn the shapes sounds and movements of the birds around them. They feel secure when the flock is calm and they become anxious when others show signs of alarm. Their sense of safety depends entirely on the stability of the group. Any threat to one member of the flock creates a wave of fear through all of them. Because of this the emotional impact of violent handling and mass killing is not limited to the bird that is struck but spreads through every ostrich who sees hears or senses it. When force and confinement are imposed on them the birds experience a level of fear that overwhelms their natural coping behaviors. Ostriches respond to danger with flight or alert stillness and when neither response is possible they enter a state of acute stress that includes trembling pacing vocalizing or freezing in place. Their hearts race their muscles tense and their entire body prepares to escape. When they are surrounded or trapped they cannot understand why the danger cannot be avoided. The sense of helplessness for a prey animal is not a thought but a physical shock that floods them with stress and panic. To a creature who survives through movement and awareness the loss of space and the inability to flee is a form of suffering in itself. The abuse of forcing ostriches to witness the injury or death of familiar flock mates creates another layer of distress. These birds recognize individuals. They notice when one of their companions collapses or cries out. They become restless and agitated when a bird they know is harmed. They remain close to fallen birds and often attempt to investigate or stay near them because their instinct pushes them to stay with the group even when the group is being destroyed. The emotional meaning of this moment is not symbolic but immediate. The flock is breaking apart. The cues of danger multiply. The birds see others in pain or falling and their own fear grows with each new sign of suffering. When violent killing happens around them ostriches sense it as the collapse of their only system of safety. They are not built to make sense of destruction happening in their own flock. Instead they respond with escalating panic. Their bodies show it clearly through rapid breathing frantic shifts in posture and attempts to move closer to surviving flock mates. They do not understand why the danger continues or why the people near them are the source of harm. The stress they experience is intense enough to cause physical shock. Their final moments are dominated by confusion fear and the overwhelming instinct to escape a threat that cannot be avoided. The public often imagines large animals as numb or unaware but ostriches feel the world with a sensitivity shaped by millions of years as prey animals. Their eyes are sharp their hearing is attuned to stress in others and their bodies react strongly to fear and pain. When dozens or hundreds of birds are subjected to violence in a confined area every ostrich feels the fear of the others. The suffering does not happen to them one by one but as a shared experience of terror. This is an experience that no animal should ever be forced to endure. The reality is not clinical or quick. It is emotionally devastating to the animals caught in it because it destroys the flock bond that is their only sense of stability and then it destroys the birds themselves. Understanding this matters because it shows that the harm done to these animals was not only physical but deeply emotional. The ostriches suffered long before any final action was taken against their bodies. They suffered through fear they could not escape through the panic created by the collapse of their flock and through the helplessness of being unable to understand why the world around them suddenly turned violent. Recognizing this is essential because it reveals the true scale of what was done. This was not a neutral procedure. This was the infliction of terror on beings capable of feeling it powerfully. The public deserves to know that these birds were not indifferent creatures. They were living animals who felt fear and confusion and distress and whose final experiences were shaped by violence they could not comprehend or escape.

SO, THIS IS THE ELITE'S SECRET PLAN. Stealing trillions, not billions, trillions, for their brand new system and programs, with hidden, secret technology, while purposely distracting and feeding humanity lies and scraps, and conditioning them for their ultimate plan to leave humanity behind in the dust. Why? Because they believe they are better than us, and that they, these elite families and their particular bloodlines were chosen to rule humanity, like generations of their families have done through past centuries throughout time. This is another major piece of the puzzle of what is really going on while they slowly condition and lie to the population, use us to build and create things to keep the world running for them, while they are secretly engineering a new world for themselves. Whether that world is here, underground, somewhere on another planet, or both. Do you really believe they are telling you the truth about everything or what they are really doing behind closed doors? Do you really believe that they wouldn't keep certain technology and physics secret if they could benefit from it themselves but not disrupt their money making empires? Their plans are for a beautiful new world that they rule. A beautiful new world without us. Some will join to serve them. And for some reason, once again, it always involves the same usual suspects. They are starting to understand that we know and will begin to push them to act. It's time to wake up and understand the game that's being played and to understand just how you are being manipulated while they hide the truth from you and reap the benefits while others suffer. How much longer are you seriously going to put up with the bullsh*t, the lying, and the abuse of not just the children, but of all of humanity itself? Everyday we learn more and more of what's really goin on, and to be quite honest, it's getting old, and fast. I'm tired of these people and understand that without ending their reign of power and control, humanity will never fully advance or progress in a positive direction and will never actually be free. What are we really doing to stop them?

All the best coaching in the world at the youngest ages is rendered useless if a child hasn’t developed the ability to focus their attention. You can bring the best coach in the world to your child’s training session and if they don’t pay full attention absolutely nothing takes place. Similar to inside a classroom where you can bring the teacher of the year to your child’s classroom and if they don’t focus and pay attention, learning does not take place. So it’s not always the case of good or bad coaching it’s often the case a child’s lack of ability to learn by not focusing on what is being taught. This is especially true for the youngest ages. This video is an example of a 5yr old child focusing their attention, trying to control an object with their feet, the ball. This becomes a mental task, married together with the action of movement, making it a physical task as well. The brain loves to learn while moving. Combining, mind and body, thinking and feeling, this allows the cerebellum, the seat of the unconscious mind, to create a chemical signature of this experience, which is emotions. Emotions are the on off switch for learning. Couple in a parent being present, this becomes a shared experience together, where the child is constantly seeking the parents approval, attention, and praise which creates a chemical electrical process in the body which is emotions. This facilitates, deep learning, and long-term memory, all disguised as playtime. A parent just being present allows for this experience to take place. A child this young rarely starts playing or exercising with a ball without someone being present. Being present and sharing this experience together is key for the learning process to take place. These movements are being stored in the non-declared memory which makes this implicit learning when you do something so many times it becomes natural and outside your conscious awareness. Like riding a bicycle or driving a car.

Yoga and improved skin health and hair growth? India’s pseudoscience poster boy, Ranveer, aka Beerbiceps gets it embarrassingly wrong. Let us break it down. I am sorry this is lengthy, because – as per Brandolini's Law (aka the Bullshit Asymmetry Principle): It takes a lot more energy to refute bullshit than to produce it. Check out this video. In it, Ranveer “pseudoscience peddler” Allahbadia with over 8 million followers on YouTube and Instagram bullshits everyone in just 35 seconds. He showcases some major female movie celebrities and tells the viewers that the secret to their skin and hair is that they perform Yoga every day, especially a Yoga pose called the “Sarvangasana” or shoulder-stand or candle pose. His “scientific” explanation? The stance increases blood flow the scalp and head, and improves skin health and hair growth. This is utter nonsense. What happens to the blood flow, heart, head, and brain region when someone takes an upside-down stance? For that, you must know the meaning of one word – Homeostasis. Homeostasis is a self-regulating process by which human body maintains internal stability in its organ functions while adjusting to changing external conditions. This is also consists of “autoregulation,” the method by which an organ or tissue maintains blood flow despite a change in perfusion due to external (eg: body position changes) or internal (block in blood vessels) conditions. For example, we are normally supposed to walk on two legs or rest by sitting down or lying down. The heart rate, blood flow to all organs including scalp and brain is all maintained depending on the importance and metabolic activity of that organ. For example, at rest, highest proportion of blood flow is received by the liver (nearly 25% of cardiac output) which is 100ml/min per 100g liver weight. The brain receives 50ml/min per 100g weight, while the skin receives 1 to 3ml per 100g per minute. Organ tissues are usually considered as blood supply-dependent (e.g., heart and brain) and blood supply-independent (e.g., abdominal organs, kidneys, skin, and resting muscle) for oxygen delivery – meaning the latter WILL receive fixed amounts to maintain its functioning while the former requires changes to blood flow depending on various unusual situations. For example, in massive blood loss, the body will try to maintain blood flow into heart and brain rather than skin and muscle to maintain life. The blood flow is set in the body for proper functioning of organs and every time we try to change that flow, a healthy body will re-align that flow depending on the importance of the organ systems functions. So, when you do a shoulder stand or candle pose, the initial sudden change to the body position will be caught by the receptors in the blood vessels and heart which will re-align the flow to organs of importance, thereby maintaining critical functions that are required for health. Which means, the blood flow to the skin including the scalp, will be re-aligned to its required flow and DOES NOT increase to face and scalp or brain as India’s pseudoscience peddler mentions. In heavy aerobic exercise and changes to temperature related sweating or certain disease conditions, the skin blood can increase. Yoga is not a proper exercise as it is not an aerobic activity. Now Sarvangasana and blood flow – a study showed that heart and blood flow responses were NOT AFFECTED with this pose in healthy people. Even a complete head stand, called Sirsasana does not increase blood flow to the brain, forget the scalp skin, because of blood delivery homeostasis due to autoregulatory mechanisms. The claims for effects of Yoga on specific organs are complete bluff – a public duping started by B K S Iyengar who took Yoga to the international stage. Even in his authoritative books, he does not mention shoulder stand or candle pose to be useful for hair growth. In fact, he [nonsensically] mentions that shoulder stand will improve “thyroid health” (it does not), controls asthma (it does not), reduces disease of the throat (it does not) and prevents common cold (it does not, because common cold is caused by a virus, and not dependent on whether you stand, sit, lie down, and hang yourself upside down). Also, note that Sarvangasana (shoulder stand), Sirsasana (head stand) and Padmasana (lotus position) are the most common Yoga poses reported to cause an injury. In those with high blood pressure or heart disease, these poses may become life threatening. You can see those here here and here Yoga, especially shoulder or head stands do not improve skin health or increase hair growth by increasing blood flow. In fact, Yoga does nothing specific for organ systems functions since such evidence does not exist. A lot of pseudoscience peddlers who sympathize with Yoga will mislead you with many such magical benefits. So then, what specific exercise or action improves hair growth? We do not really know. There is some evidence, even though weak, for standardized scalp massages: good evidence for scalp cooling (prevents hair loss, may promote regrowth especially in chemotherapy patients) Speak with your Dermatologist on skin and hair health queries and not National-level baby-face poster boys of misinformation.

Tony Robbins on how to change someone who doesn't want to change: 1. People only change when they link enough pain to staying the same or enough pleasure to changing. Ideally, both at once. This is not a mindset shift. It happens in the nervous system, not the head. Your head can know exactly what you should do, and your gut will override it every single time. 2. Yes, you can change someone who doesn't want to change. But not by forcing them. You find the leverage that makes them change themselves. Everyone has a point that will get them to follow through. For some people, it is not even the threat of their own life. For others, it is their children. For others, it is spiritual growth. The leverage is different for everyone, but it always exists. 3. The food poisoning example. You used to love a food or a drink. Then one night it came back up with enough intensity and enough aroma that to this day you cannot look at it without feeling repelled. No willpower required. Your brain simply rewired what it links pleasure to. That is the entire mechanism of change in one story. 4. Scrooge did not want to change. He was certain he did not need to change. Three ghosts showed up and did one thing: they made him link unbearable pain to his past, his present, and his future simultaneously. When there is nowhere to escape, change happens in a heartbeat. Robbins calls this the Dickens pattern. Lock pain into all three time zones at once, and there is no exit. 5. People avoid changing by escaping to a different time period. If the present is painful, escape to a good memory from the past. If the past was also painful, invent a better future and escape there. As long as one of those three zones offers relief, the pressure to change dissolves. Removing all three exits and change becomes inevitable. 6. Problem is some people have accidentally linked pain to things they actually need: exercise, intimacy, and hard conversations. The association is wrong, but it runs their life anyway. The job is not to build more willpower. It is to change what you have linked pain and pleasure to in the first place.

Dario Amodei just revealed the exact realization that fractured OpenAI. It happened while building the most powerful AI in the world. The team discovered that scaling had no ceiling. Amodei: “If you pour more compute into these models, they’ll get better and better, and that there’s almost no end to this.” At the time, almost nobody believed it. Amodei’s group were among the first to see it clearly. More compute meant more intelligence. Indefinitely. Without limit. That should have been the most exciting discovery in the history of technology. It terrified them. Because they saw the second half of the equation the industry was ignoring entirely. Amodei: “You don’t tell the models what their values are just by pouring more compute into them.” Intelligence scales with compute. Values don’t. You can build a mind of unlimited capability and it will have no moral compass unless you deliberately build one in. Not as a feature. Not as a guardrail bolted on at the end. As the foundation the entire system is constructed on. This wasn’t a philosophical disagreement. It was an existential one. A god-like intelligence with no alignment isn’t a powerful tool. It’s an uncontrolled force with no reason to care about the species that built it. Amodei: “There were a set of people who believed in those two ideas. We really trusted each other and wanted to work together, and so we went off and started our own company with that idea in mind.” They walked out of the most powerful AI lab on earth. Not for better funding. Not for equity. Because they believed the path OpenAI was on led somewhere nobody could walk back from. That small group became Anthropic. Safety wasn’t a feature they added. It was the entire reason the company exists. The intelligence is going to keep scaling. There is almost no end to it. The only question that has ever mattered is what it’s pointing at when it gets there.

More from Trump and Qatar gift: "I think this is just a gesture of good-faith." "It'll go to my library... I thought it was a great gesture." He says he would NOT use the plane himself after leaving office. It would basically sit in his library. "I think what happens with the plane is that, you know, we're very disappointed that it's taking Boeing so long to build a new Air Force One. You know, we have an Air Force One that's 40 years old. And if you take a look at that compared to the new plane of the equivalent, you know, stature at the time, it's not even the same ballgame. You look at some of the Arab countries and the planes they have parked alongside of the United States of America plane, it's like from a different planet." "When I came back, I said, by the way, what's going on with the Boeings that are coming in? 'Well, sir, they're way behind.' And they are way behind." "I think Qatar, who has really, we've helped them a lot over the years in terms of security and safety. I think they, and very, very nicely, and I have a lot of respect for the leadership and for the leader, Qatar. And I think they knew about it because they buy Boeings, they buy a lot of Boeings. And they knew about it and they said 'we would like to do something,' and if we can get a 747 as a contribution to our Defense Department to use during a couple of years while they're building the other ones - I think that was a very nice gesture." "Now, I could be a stupid person and say, oh, no, we don't want a free plane. We give free things out. We'll take one, too. And it helps us out because, again, we're talking about we have 40-year-old aircraft. The money we spend, the maintenance we spend on those planes to keep them tippy-top is astronomical."

It is not the fault of the Igbos. They are simply employing their own people, replacing indigenous workers with more Igbos. The highest superintendent in Chevron is an Igbo woman — she is the one doing this. Can you blame her? No. I blame our useless, spineless Itsekiri leaders. Out of 18 graduates recently employed for work on Itsekiri land, 12 are Igbos. The rest are just 2 Yorubas and a few from other tribes. Not a single Itsekiri graduate was employed — in our own land. And some of you still want to blame the Igbos for dominating? No. That is their nature. That is who they are. They look out for one another without apology. You cannot blame them for it. Where are the leaders of Warri Kingdom? Who are the Itsekiri contractors to Chevron? Who negotiated these employment arrangements? Why is this happening under their watch while our graduates are completely shut out? Ilaje and itsekiri graduates protested just last year for employment why were igbos employed? Who let it happen? These are the questions we should be asking. Chevron and these companies do this because they know Itsekiris are not violent people. They know they can take us for granted and walk over us as they like. Would they try this with the Ibibios or the Ijaws? With the Hausa or Fulani? Never. They would not dare. Even the Igbos themselves would never tolerate this in their own land. They would burn the company down before allowing such a thing. But Itsekiris? We are lions without teeth. These companies know it and act with impunity. Where were our leaders when an Igbo woman was put in charge of employment? Did anyone seriously expect her not to fill the place with her own people? Of course she would. So stop blaming the Igbos. The problem is not them. The problem is us — and the silent, weak leaders who have allowed this to happen on Itsekiri land.
