So I remember I was jumping up and down backstage while I watched the song alone. 🐹 When I watch that stage, I can feel my heart pounding. It has such a stirring, emotional quality. 🐹 It’s the kind of song that gives me all kinds of new inspirations. So I thought about those feelings a lot when I made my solo album. 🐹 There are other great songs of course, and popular songs too, but that song in particular feels special to me.

🐹 I haven’t talked about this anywhere else, but the truth is I didn’t write any of the songs because I was still on my solo tour at the time. 🐹 When I arrived at the studio, there were a hundred-something songs already made. 🐹 So then I test recorded the best of them. And that took about 7-10 days. 🐹 Once that was done, the whole process was over. 🐹 The recording was scheduled about 3 months in advance and my tour was scheduled much earlier than that. So the timing just didn’t work out. 🐹 I was worried our fans would be bored while everyone was in the military, so there I was soothing the hearts of our fans. 🐹 Meanwhile, all of the songs got made.
